Finally sorted it out, using imgRePackerRK_103 extracted my backup.img
and its all good

Try this:

Try changing
sys.hwc.compose_policy=0 to =6 in build.prop file.
Also try with an older version of Youtube after you uninstalled it completely.

Also, try hiding the navigation bar before entering YouTube.

Thanks for the info. I used your recovered image to repair one of my units of the same type. I also am having the problem with black video screen (audio is fine) on YouTube, as well as any streaming videos in the browser (chrome/chromium). I have not yet tried an old version of the youtube app, does anyone have the proper version? Also, does anyone know how to fix the issue in chrome? Any streamed video just leads to black screen with audio. Netflix app and XBMC works fine.

I also tried changing sys.hwc.compose_policy=0 to =6 and nothing changed.

Is there anyway of backing up this clone, the usual stuff ROM Manager etc, does not work.

I have been able to make successful cwm and twrp backups with nandroid... But I dont know how to restore the backups since flashing any version of cwm recovery seems to stop the device from booting.

I tried various recovery options but does boot or gets stuck in a loop.

The unit is not bad, WiFi is good and AnTuTu over 12000.

This help me get it back to work!!!

But it still always only can work on 720p, when select 1080p, it will flesh.
I have tried several 1080p kernel, but they all do not work.
Does anyone find any 1080p kernel work on this clone?
