Try them All One By One. This way you will know which one you like to use.

I did that my self. When comes to Netflix the one from Play store works good for me. The picture on start is not that good but after few seconds you can see it's getting better and better.
I don't use XBMC my self. I believe that Android XBMC has a lot of problems no matter which one you use. I'm using a Archos Video Player and MX Player. Both support DTS and 1080p if you using one of the roms that is 1080P in settings. And Plex sometimes mostly for music.
All are on my computer playing thru Network (Wired).

Dts is no problem on custom roms at all. I can play smoothly 10gb full hd dts video files. I use Quickshot v. 2 rom with oc kernel. I'm going to try new Guru's rom. But Quickshot is more flexible :root, cwm and easy Quickshot update.

I had problems watching 1080p movies with DTS on xbmc (customshot v2 with 720mem oc kernel). Im happy that Hardwareguru 4c beta ROM works good for me

HardwareGuru 4c beta version runs best on my X7.
1080p 50/60hz is not so smooth, but 1080p @ 24hz + DTS sound works so smoothly!!! I tried other roms but hardwareguru 4c is for me best for watching videos on xbmc

My question might seem to be off topic. But can you please tell me how did you install the HardwareGuru ROM ? which tools you used ? I can't find any instructions anywhere!

I just got my minix neo X7 and I don't want to brick it on my first flash trial.

Hi all, and thanks all for the great stuff here.

I bought X7 a couple of weeks ago to replace my ATV2.
This is a wonderful piece of tecnology but this 5.1 thing is driving me crazy.
Tried all rom i found here, with no solution, I'm probably missing some basic stuff.
Here is my issue:

When playing ac3 video the flow is not smooth, but 5.1 audio is working. If i switch to analog audio the video is smooth.
Do i miss something on the passthrough thing?

The video is in streaming from my nas, nfs sharing.
It works great in my old led samsung with SamyGo firmware...

Currently with Hardwareguru4c and beyond Xbmc, optical cable to amplifier.

Please help!

Flash the 1080p-720mem OC kernel from custom shot v2 kernel pack over the hardwareguru 4c rom... That helped me with 1 sec freezes on spdif 5.1 passthrough...

Thanks Mariozo, tried that but did not solved. I also tried to OC CPU@1704... Issue is still there.

One thing i noted though is thad the AC3 audio seems slowed a little bit on 2 channel movie too, voices are deeper.

I do not have this issue on the ATV2 with xbmc, i really do not understand.

It is 720p rom, but you can flash 1080p kernel from custom shot...

Solved... But don't know how.
Reflashed hardwareguru04c, rooted, updated everythyng through moborobo, removed preinstalled xbmc, installed Beyond Xbmc.

At this point I noticed several additional audio manager in android settings. Selected spdif passthrough

Now it works like a charm...

I believe the only different thing this time from previous ones was the update through moborobo...
Well i do not understand, but it's working.
