What device do you have?
Post all the chip names here after opening it.
Maybe you flashed the wrong firmware to an incorrect device.

User d33 is working on a KitKat kernel with MT7601 wifi, but don't know if the wifi will work.
User omegamoon is also working on 3.0.101 kernel that will have working MT7601 wifi and Linux support with wifi.

I will release a new rom for EKB311B later today.

Hi mo123

Some things I noticed when testing the HG image

- IR Remote Key repeat doesn't work
- Numeric buttons on the remote don't work (Can be fixed by copying stock key layout files)
- "Autohide system bar" missing

Will your ROM include all those fixes/tweaks?

I'm intending to spend some time tonight building a final series of Kit Kat Kernels and will publish some test kernels to see if I can get the MT7601U supported. If you could test them and report back I can possibly iterate through a few options during the evening (UK time). will you be able to test?

LOL for MY reference! You just need to flash a KK ROM and then test a few kernels for BT/Wifi function - fear not.
