@manao: yes, I already saw these links and I had the same dilemma weeks ago... but I remain skeptical, we had the same marketing around others high res tablet month ago with RK3188 and we saw weeks later a lot of people complaining...it's an hardware issue (cpu) very difficult to bypass with only a fast emmc, 2go ram and brilliant devs.
But, I hope I'm wrong and I wish you (and Randy!) the best with this high res version!

It works, thanks. Even if we cannot edit users (add pictures/names), we can create a 2nd profile with lower rights.

Looks like this firmware isn't for the Retina version...I couldn't get it to boot on my Mini3 Retina.

I did find a new firmware published today for the Mini3 Retina I'm trying to download.

It will be a while longer, so stay tuned.

Tried installing on non-retina, all it does is vibrate....
I did erase IDB, flash rom, finished at Run OK, then just vibrates.
Turned it off, started back up, just viibrates.
