Minix Neo X7 sdcard problem - not recognized

Hi guys, Yes, that worked for me, although at first I didn't have the option to format. I had to click 'Mount SD' (though I had tried that previously and nothing had happened) and this time it reported a blank SD and asked if I wanted to format. Playback is still not on a par with my PC but obviously the PC has a much higher spec. Good enough for 720 TV shows, and I'll use the PC for movies. Thanks again, you saved me flashing a new ROM, which would not have helped anyway!

hey guys, can you try something? Avoid using the reboot, power off buttons in the lower bar. install the reboot apk made my Petrus and use that instead for a while. Please report if someone still has this sdcard issue while using Petrus apk instead of normal procedure.There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't...

This issue reminds me of the one on the RK3066 devices with the corrupted storage by disconnecting the power on those devices. a small search gave me those interesting results.
6.) Fixed "Blank Internal Flash" bug causing by redundant keyboard codes;
i think that its about the same issue.
this happened lately on two devices of friends, all running quickshot V2. i couldnt manage to get a pattern why this happened. I did not have such problems with my device.
The only think that i thought, on the one device maybe due to a powercut.
look also here, it seems that minix is aware of the problem
i hope its indeed fixed in pre 10 release

The same has happened to me around 4 times using Quickshot, not sure if it's a ROM issue or HW. I have now got into the habit of backing up the SD partition regularly to the external SD, this has saved me once so far as the only fix has been to format the internal SD and restore all the folders from the backup.

I once suffered the same problem when I wanted to opened a installed program on SD card and found it was gone, but I managed to solve it because it was caused by virus. So I think you can try scanning your phone by anti-virus software. Of course, there're a lot of reasons account for such a situation. Surf on the Internet and collect some articles about SD card can't be recognized and deal with it.Last edited by bernalrichard; 21 January 2016, 06:57.
