    Use it as a router?

I have a T-R42 which has an ethernet input. I was thinning to ditch the router and use this as a hotspot router. Have anyone tried to use their Android tv stick as a router? I know I will miss the customisation a router gives, like firewall and many other. But I would like to know if it is a dumb to use it as a basic router or is it even safe, specially while there is a micro sd card inside with private files. On the other hand, I am thinking if it wasn't safe, everyone would already have their files stollen from their phones.

Yes.. i did -on my tvbox

    Root the unit
    Installed a firewall
Dns changed to 'adbarricuda' (just google it)
Installed : 'adaway' to block even more stuff
    --this works on 'droidtv x1"

    Also tried (failed)
Install openvpn connect... then share its connection to wifi user

My main goal was to no-longer see any ads on my 'tabled and ereader' So quicker browsing
-like freaktabs logo.. i could not browse the site on my e-reader (made a rule block png image)
--and now i can browse forums again

Androidsticks are not really usable as router.. (as must dont have lan access or good wifi or many usb ports)

    Anyway.. goodluck
