I found this version of Android 4.4.2 for rk3066

Wouldn't count it out yet.
Kitkat is still being finalized on the 3188 so thats going to need to be done before it can be ported to the 3066 devices.

Nice, when I unpack the .img I see bootloader "RK30xxLoader(L)_V2.13.bin", which I thought is a RK3188 bootloader. bootloader collection

Does this means that the bootloader works on both, or is it adjusted for rk3066?

And another question. Does a 3.0.36+ kernel from a jelly bean (4.2.2) rom work as a 3.0.36+ kernel on a kitkat (4.4.2) rom?

A Boot Loader for RK3188 named 31xx. So it is not the same. For JB Kernels on KK I must try it first.

The current ROM sources we have are targeted at both 3066 and 3188 so it is possible for the manafacturer to create one if they want.
