Android 4.4 on rk3066

i was not flashing the bootloader thats why the roms didnt work
after flashing it i was able to boot them
no wifi on the UG802 , and the cx 803 rom

if anyone has ideas how to make the wifi work share it

You need the correct GPIO dump with the correct wifi pins from a JB rom.
The GPIO Dump app binary is in the kernel section of the forum.
Then you have to compile a new kernel with that pin numbers.
Unfortunately I don't know which kernel source to use.
Hopefully with the RK3288 kernel sources being released next week, someone can use that.

i am not so experienced to do the compiling job
but i would gladly try some test kernels if someone would compile
without a wifi kitkat is useless for me so going back to jellybean

The firmware's stock kernel is 1080p outputting the UI at 720p via an overlay. Remove the overlay code in build.prop and you get full blown 1080p for both UI and video content the same; no different than any other 'full HD' 1080p kernel.

I was wondering if it's possible you kindly consider to compile also for X5mini a 4.4 rom...that would be amazing.

Just if helps, I attach the best rom in 4.2.2 I know, which is already rooted and has 1080p kernel version, to please consider as a base to work in.

COMPLIMENTISSIMI per questa app, è fantastica! Io ho una rom fatta da Cis80, una ottima ics 4.0.4 con update me. C'è un piccolo problema: il playstore mi indica "aggiornamento", ma quando vado per aggiornare si blocca l'installazione dando errore, forse perché l'app è stata inserita fra le app di sistema. E' un problema mio o capita ad altri? come posso risolvere?

I'll create rk3066 kernels for kitkat ROMS and post in a separate thread. Obviously you will need supporting KK ROMs to test with and so this will be for the really experimental and technically competent owners only.
