look like you got bad power supply. try an other one 5v 2a or just change the power supply cable by a good one. i've tell this trick to many users before and always solve the loop reboot problem. the supplied power supply is good but supplied power cable cheap and poor quality. good luck friend i don't use xbmc

You could try re installing the app or try clearing the app cache/app data

Really love your ROM, thank you very much.

Can the recovery image support booting into linux distro on sdcard?

But be sure to backup all your data, everything will be deleted that is on the stick.

hmm i'm not alone and it give me a clue... maybe, could have a workaround... i remark when i unplug the power supply and let my powered usb hub the stick do this bootloop blue led flash on and off. so if we could upper the voltage a lot in oc kernel it could probably boot in theory. by the way igot a mk908 v5 and all kernel provided with 1.8 rom boot fine but locked at 1.4ghz due to lower voltage probably

Hi, I made a post on this earlier. I have found you need to do the changes I did in the earlier post to make Google think its a nexus 10, and then use Netflix from January. This will give you HD netflix without stuttering. Later versions of Netflix will stutter as you mentioned. Xbmc works great in HD 1080 mode I am now on the latest official build of xbmc and its stable and quick. I think your antutu is a bit on the low side. Try flashing again, I found my stick really improved once I got to my third reflash, I use the 4gb parameter file. I also found the best combination of flashing was to do the 720/1080 boot/ROM combo not purely 1080. My antutu is over 16090 with that combination and often better than that. I did find my best antutu score came with the 2gb parameter file but the difference is negligible.

In comparison I have a 1.8 ghz quad core tablet and it stutters a little in hd on the later Netflix versions, so definitely a poorly written app.

As you rightly say out of the box the crippled versions are really bad but with this ROM mine became really good. I always fully shut down/kill background apps when I have finished with them though so I have very little multi tasking going on. But even not doing that doesn't seem to affect it too much.

Yeah, it was listed as 1.6GHz on Amazon. Here's a message I recieved from them after leaving feedback:

    ------------- Begin message -------------

    Dear Friend
Greeting from geekbuying,we are writing because we got the feedback from you, first, the rk3188T you mentioned, the item came with RK3188 chip before, only the new stock come with rk3188t.and no big difference between them.we do apologize for the wrong info.
and do you like it?if not,we can offer a refund for you, could you help to ship it back, thanks

    Gary

    ------------- End message -------------
If performance and reliability is noticeable between a 3188 and 3188T, I'd do it. But is there, aside from just 200MHz cores differential?

To be honest, I have mixed feelings about this device. Stock ROM was completely unusable (massive UI lag and hangs) and with the Finless 1.8, less so. 1080p video works but only if you can tolerate UI glitches every so often and wifi/bluetooth performs just as poorly. With Antutu, I get a score of about 14000~ and other minor annoyances such as the lack of "lockscreen" security (even 3rd party apps don't work). Maybe it requires abit more fiddling around but overally, it's an average device.

If anyone has any pointers in tolerating a "crippled" stick, let me know. I'd appreciate it.

    Wrong USB Cable

    Thanks Bob,

I had been using 1.7a for some time, Went to try to upgrade to 1.8 and when I put the 908 into Flash mode the pc would not recognize it. I tried to re-install the driver. Kept getting an error saying no driver was found. I tried everything for hours. then, after I gave up and hooked it all back up, walked away. Something said, try a different usb cable. and dang if that work right off the bat . The other cable is working fine for everything else. but not to flash the 908. Go figure.
Just thought I would share that tidbit in case someone else ran into problems. Oh, and send out a very well deserved THANKS to Bob.

    Regards
    Tom
