3D lancher seems to look and work good.Not sure if any thing has changed with the firmware,but I seem to be getting better audio output through my amp. I was chatting with James (sales manager) @ Ugoos.net and he said ut1 should be getting 4.4 and the new 3d lancher soon,wih the others to follow.

installed this on my 32gb box

seems to have a nice clean ui built for the remote.
(still has the option to choose the standard android view)

not to sure what other improvments have been made to the box.

warning its a clean install which will wipe your device .

OK, help a noob out here. This 3D launcher version is still JB? Did they just change the launcher? I installed Apex on mine.. . Seems to be fine so far.

Yes I think only the Launcher was changed.

Acording to Eugene in sales @ Ugoos.net It is considered Stock.
Comes with the Ugoos launcher. It seems to run faster than the original.
Also the remote works the same. You may want to try gotham RC1 on it, seems to be working good.
I'm using the one Karel compiled with libmedia passthrough hack, Post 1708 on this thread.

One more thing, I had to turn off passthrough in xbmc, all static on my reciever.
all is good now and getting full surround sound.

I suppose I can use the same RK tool I use on my T428 to flash the image file or is there some other method?

Yeah I get that "static" too so left it at Analog. But I only get 2 choices.

1 Analog
2 Optical/Coax/SPDIF

No HDMI choice....I guess the "Coax" is supposed to be HDMI...???

Anyway it sure doesn't pass it all I get is static or noise. MX Player, with the custom codec does pass it. NONE of these will pass it even with custom codecs installed. I even compiled the Neon codec for BS Player and no joy.

In the settings in sound manger did you set it to passthrough, the bottom choice?
Leave it in analog if you are using HDMI, then turn off passthrough in XBMC.
Let me know if this helps, Ill take another look at my setup when I get a chance.

Yup. That's what I had to do to get rid of the noise.

Android set to passthrough HDMI
BXBMC set to analog no passthrough available in analog
No noise no 5.1 either but Gotham is comming

Any big advantage to UT2 being on the stock KK?

Nah no Gotham here yet. If I do that I'll have to be able to change to it on every device I have. I read yesterday if you share your local files using MySql (I DO) ALL devices have to use Gotham. Not ready for that yet as I have a T428, the UT2, an Asus TF700 tablet and the PCs to update. So I'll wait for a full release of Gotham and then I'll wait for Flumpster to release Beyond XBMC Gotham.

EDIT: Took the plunge and installed the 1080 KK rom. Wasn't thinking and now I no longer have root access. Wonder if there's a way to root this??
