PMID701i - onscreen volume control disappeared

I have a new 701i. I'm not sure what changed between yesterday and today, but my onscreen volume buttons that are at the bottom of the screen have disappeared. Is there a place in the settings, or something I can do with an app, that will restore this functionality? as it stands I have no way to adjust my volume.

normally I wouldn't *bump* a thread so soon, but this is really bothering me.

Has this really not happened to anyone else?

I dont know how to get it back other than a reset. But you can download a volume control app to work around it there is alot of free ones on google play.

I'm not familiar with your tablet, as I figred it would be like mine but mine has volume buttons on the side near the power button.. But was the onscreen volume buttons a widget or was it something on the bottom status/menu bar?

It was on the bottom bar, next to the "back" "home" and "multitask" icons.

I thought that's what you meant, mine doesn't have them on the menu bar so I'm not sure, I know with mine, it came with a widget to change the volume on screen. (which I removed since mine has hardware volume buttons on the side) I have a Polaroid PTAB7XC from Kohls, which from my understanding it's alot like the one you have.

I found an app called audiomanager so now at least I can access volume control. It's just weird that the original buttons went away.

My tablet also keeps booting itself up again as soon as I power it off, but that might merit its own thread.

Is it plugged in? You cant turn off tablet while it is plugged in.

I can turn mine off while plugged in, but mine is the PTAB7XC from Kohls (so that may be another difference in my model compared to the others)

                    Just saying...
