I guess Its related to Kernel Cos 30th one says same 4/18 info but Kernel is different .... I do hope They Sort out that popup that don't effect anything but still ....

I was rarely having XBMC stopped error on previous firmwares but not anymore...

Flashing Led during Standby may Lead people to think they have a faulty unit it would be great if they also sort that issue ... And we don't have Red LED

    For your information Tomato

Also Many Thanks for your Hard Work...

I finally got the Acemax firmware running properly. XBMC video is now working

I got rid of the "Settings Mbox has stopped" pop up by clearing the cache of this app.

Latest Netflix is not connecting but version 3.1.1 works. We are getting there...

I'll try clearing the cache... Thanks... One other error I'm getting is when you start XBMC up after a reboot, it crashes, but once you open it up again no more problems.

Handroid: do you have a link to Netflix 3.1.1? looked around and getting a bunch of dead links or pop-ups

          ok guys try this

I copied the Acemax RC1 xbmc to my usb stick and installed it onto the 4/18 EM8 firmware because that firmware seems better than Acemax. It has the classic launcher built into it and there also isn't that stupid settingMbox error popup. Everything is running perfect

btw clearing the cache on the acemax did nothing to resolve the error message for me.

how about random white snowy screen?
            @ACE
If you can't get rid of that pop up remove settingMbox ...do we really need it ? stock android settings will be fine!

I think I only saw white snowy screen on the firmware before 4/18 but will look for it on this one. You can't just remove it from apps because there's no uninstall button. The fact that it does have this error and does not have the classic launcher leads me to believe this firmware is inferior to the em8 4/18 firmware.. it just seems like its a step backwards.

Great. Too bad I don't have the 4/18 firmware. My stock firmware is 4/14. Do you have a download link maybe for the 4/18?

BTW Is Netflix running okay or do you still need the 3.1.1?

Can not create or copy/paste folders

I am running the 04/14 firmware. Looks like it is not possible to create or copy/paste folders. Tried the stock filemanager, ES File Explorer and Rootexplorer.

Copy and pasting files is okay.

Strange thing is that moving folders works fine.

Is it just me or do you all have this problem?

                    Edit:

Found it. This is a KitKat Limitation. Solution: root the device and use ES File Explorer.

i just used https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...life.appbackup to get the rc1 .apk to my usb stick

In other news, xbmc gotham official release is out today so now we need a compiled version lol i doubt the version from the xbmc site will have video but i will try anyway

Apparently the android final release has some issues and you cant even dl it from the site so will have to wait.

                          Hi:

Can you please confirm that Ethernet works on the Enybox 4/18 firmware? How speedy is the connection?

ethernet has always worked on the square M8. I've tried 4 different firmwares. Speed depends on the host but with speedtest.net app i get 27-28mb/s and have gotten my max 55mb/s speed a few times so I think this box gets full speeds if available.

                              xbmc 13 final release

ok no video as expected with the final release so we have to wait for the new compiled version of it

Thanks for that. I too have tried about 4 different releases and have noticed some variation in Ethernet performance among them. In one case, (I forget which) Ethernet simply didn't connect..

SpeedTest.net is invariably more optimistic than some other test sites - however, my speeds there correlate with yours. At no time do I see Ethernet with a clear advantage over wifi - which is a bit odd.
