• * Better recovery of VDPAU on errors.
• * Fixes for cropping of interlaced content using VDPAU.
• * Fix for FLAC tracks with large embedded images not playing.
• * Fix for crash if librtmp wasn’t available.
• * Fix for ffmpeg building on linux using later versions of librtmp.
• * Fix for broken m4a, mp4 playback with paplayer.
• * Fix for the hint text not being shown in editcontrols once unfocused.
• * Fix minor memory leak in PlayMedia builtin function.
• * Fix albumartist use in song smartplaylists.
• * Use unique client broadcast UID in the PVR api.

1.It can play most of different videos,include 4k/rmvb/wmv/mkv/avi/mp4/m2ts/h265 and so on,also support Dolby and DTS.
2.No video audio aysn issue.
3.No need to root the device.
4.No need to change any settings.

Just uninstall old ,and install this..

it works thanks time will tell how stable it is also it feels more responsive & quicker doing tasks that fresh box nothing installed only xbmc and 1 repo streaming

be nice to control 720p or 1080p

Be nice for 720p or 1080 control as it cropped at 720p

what do you mean exactly? 720p Content in Xbmc or when you change M8 Resolution from 1080p to 720p?

when I play xbmc on my 720p tv it get chopped the picture because it set to 1080p the native build doesn't do this.

also picture shows more clearer not sure because of the resolution the rc1 I had to disable am codec and other codec


to sum It up


Streaming testing the 2 units I have

hacked xbmc = cropped pictures and blocky pictures seem lesser resolution playing on 720 / 50hz

gothem rc1 from xbmc = perfect picture and smoothness no blocky picture and no cropping look higher res but I had to disable amcodec and other codec to work

it seems to be amcodec and MediaCodec issue.

when I disable those 2 codecs the picture looks sharper and in proper aspect ratio

I'm doing some research, and it looks like xbmc might need root access to work well with the boxes

I paly videos off my Qnap throught nfs shares. Using XBMC alpha built I noticed video to play sharper when I play via Plexbmc addon. Need to check with amlogic disabled though
