M6 Mini PC TV-BOX AV Android 4.2 AML8726-MX , new out of box blank screen?

Told my neighbor to buy this from Geek buying because it said preloaded with Xbmc, tv says unsupported format, blank screen, anybody lead me to a new rom to load? Thanks gang

I don't think so, that a different rom helps... I had also much tobble with this SoC/Box at my TV and I also flash another rom but doesn't help... have a look at the link at the first post:

Have you tried a different HDMI cable? What is the TV brand?
I haven't had any problems with any Amlogic boxes, whether M3 or M6 (dual core, MX...) unless you are connecting to a real old or not-so-well-made-store-brand TV. All the Amlogic devices run XBMC better than Rockchip, and you get much better performance with Linux than Android...

So far 1 plasma TV, one Phillips lcd 55 incher, changed cable with my neo x7 mini, same result, m6 cable works on the . X7

Well, short of trying on a different monitor, one thing I would suggest: if the box is new, with no important user data on it, boot into recovery ("toothpick method" ) and Wipe Userdata and then Reboot. That may clear it up.

well, sorry to hear your problem.

we never met the same complaint before, each tv box have been tested before we ship to you, so there is image on our monitor before it leave our warehouse.


can you try on another tv or monitor, and let me know?

Got it to connect with my dynex 40 inch lcd, so the box is functioning normally just won't connect to the other tv's? Is there a
Function in a menu somewhere to fix this? It'll have to be shipped back otherwise, not telling my neighbor to buy a new TV

What a pain in the azz this is, gotta get it back to Geek buying, then what try another box in this price range? That is if Geek buying understands this box doesn't work on all tv's.
