Done rugged test such as downloading large files from internet, play hi-res vids (damn its good) play music and games. All good.
You must be one of the first S89-H users I came across! .
The box is designed to stay on - forever. Why would you want to turn it off??
Anyway, yes, there is no dedicated power off button. Finless's ROM to integrate a reboot app, which includes all these kind of options : reboot, soft reboot, power off etc. It needs root to operate and, since I last checked, the power off only reboots (fixable I guess).
The latest ROM also includes a function to turn off the unit when you press the "on" buttun in for more than 10s.
Regarding playstore, you did create a google account and are logged in?

Did everything I can find in the internet like setting time manually, clearing play store/google services cache, adding/removing my google account, resseting to factory settings. even updating to the latest build of play store but still no luck. Wanted to root and delete hosts file but too bad im on win 8.1. Downgradi g to win 7 tonight and try 103k4 from Eric.

Yes, I have a google account.

This is exactly the reason why proper Beta testing by the manufacturer is so important.

Goto settings ->advanced-> more settings (something like that). There you'll find the usual Android settings you are used to. You accustomed to android?

              Well its all there?
applications item got all the clear options, like
              usual.
Accounts is there to add remove accounts.
              Factory reset etc..
Why your playstore don't work is a misterie though. Have not heard about anyone else complaining about it except for the paid apps issue that was resolved.

You can google "No Connections Retry Google playstore" so you get the idea.
