    Symphonic CRT TV

Connected the R89 8gig model to my 10 year old CRT TV using the AV cables (Yellow, Red and White). The box selected the correct TV mode and output interface, no tweaking or adjustments necessary. The Audio on the other hand, only produced noise like it was trying to output the audio, but all garbled.

I built something similar with a Raspberry Pi and an USB DVB-C Tuner last weekend. Watching TV via XBMC is very comfortable. And having TV all around the house on practically any device I own is great as well.

I wish I had done this earlier.

copying remote.conf to system/etc helps but this time at this location there was no remote.conf to replace and copying the csm8 remote.conf to that directory didnt helped (ticked all permissions)

This box is getting soooooo close to matching a stand alone DVR. By programming the buttons from the standard IR remote to my Harmony universal remote, I can use this PVR just like my stand alone DVR. And the Guide is the best I have ever seen or used.

Not to bore you too much, but I just made a YouTube video showing my PVR. I have other videos showing the same thing, but this box is awesome for my purposes.
