Good email chain on the subject
There are good suggestions in this email chain about things that can be done while troubleshooting failed installations for newb's like myself. This is where I got the link I posted above, but it has expanded it's scope into the troubleshooting realm so thought I would include it.

With that said if your familure with how to use livesuite to restore the factory firmware I would try just installing his rom as it was designed for A10 devices it might boot might not boot, some things might work or might not work, but if it messes up you can use livesuite to go back to factory and start again. If your willing to wait the weekend I'm in the process of downloading the firmware for the severial 701 series devices to see if I can use the same process I used to make mine to build one for them though I wont have a device to test with it will be up to you all with those devices to let me know what is working or not working. If anyone in the Cincinnati Ohio area has any of these devices and are willing to meet out at a coffee shop.or something it would be a real help in making a compatibility zip for them, feel free to msg me if your in Cincinnati and willing to assist with trials.

No new compatibility zips will be posted until Monday, i was hoping to post one for the 4311 and a fix for the 701iX13 TS before then but i really need to focus on cleaning up my bases. With that being said, along with cleaning up the base files ill be cleaning up my Google Drive structure, and starting a new thread to house all them under. so keep a look out Monday 9/24/12 for the new thread, and yes for those wanting to know CM9 and AOKP compatibility ZIPS will be posted for 4311 and 701 series then too.

new compatibility zips will not be posted now until Wednesday evening at the earliest now, i'm really sorry, i forgot my thumb drive at work Friday, so i built them based on my notes and put them on my sdcard on my tablet, sadly i messed up and formatted my sdcard by mistake so i have to redo them again.
it seems that allwinner development has come to a end for now from the communityso with this last set of zips i hope to add support for all the Allwinner: Cyanogen and AOKP based roms i know of. (hopefully some manufacture will release an official jellybean firmware so incomplete proprietary files can be charry picked and maybe interest dev to some more building.
so as of now it looks like on the list for support is.
Christian Troys: CM9, AOKP, CM10
Quarx2k CM9, CM10
Cyanbook V0.4
Kangbook
Cyanbook_JB
if you know of any other CM or AOKP allwinner based roms to look at let me know, again sorry for the delay on these compatibility zips.
