ADB on EM8 square working

    ADB on EM8 square working

    Just tested ADB on EM square box.
    Seems to be working.

    Need to open the box
    Place jumper at ID_SW (between usb & HDMI)
    Start box & enable USB debugging
    Use male usb <=> male usb cable
    Use left USB connection (on edge of the box)

    Tested with ADB, seems to connect.

            Funny that all they did was remove the jumper before closing and shipping this. Does anything *not* work with the jumper on? In other words, any reason to remove the jumper after putting it on as far as you can tell? Nice find btw...

                  With the jumper on the left usb-port doesn't work with usb stick, mouse, etc., there is no 5V.
                  The left-usb port is a multifunctional port, function selectable by jumper.
                  Other boxes have seperate OTG port.

                      This is good news. I am not experinced user. And i want to ask a question. ABD and OTG is the same or not?

                        Yes and No
                        You need OTG (and not USB-Host) to connect the port with the USB-Host-Port at your PC to work with ADB (because Host to Host doesn't work)

                          On the newer ENY-M8S you will need to solder that 2 pin plug onto the board as they have removed totally.... I cant speak to the M8C but i just bought a whack of M8S's and everyone of them came without that jumper... Once i installed the jumper ADB on any of my linux or pc boxes instantly connected to the M8S...

                            please help me my m8 is bricked but i can enter to recovery with sdcard bootable i try with usb burning tool but i cant
