I have done a very cool thing for my 1.7 ROM. Well at least I think you all will like it.
I found that the partitioning of NAND memory on the stock ROM wastes almost 1 GB of NAND (800megs to be right).
For instance, NAND was partitioned for system as 1.1GB when system only uses 550MB. Also logo, boot, and recovery were 3 times the size needed!!!!
I have found a way to reclaim all that by repartitioning NAND giving you 800meg more of internal NAND for APPs etc.
However, to do it the ROM must be a IMG that you flash with the AML flash tool! I have tried to see if I can do it from SDcard ZIP update but it's not possible.
Do you think getting 800MB more is worth it?
Or should I leave it alone and just make a SDcard ZIP update?
I cannot do both so don't ask! If I have 2 ROMs it will burn too much FreakTab bandwidth offering 2 ROMs from here on out!
So what do you all prefer?
