On thing I forgot to do was add the XML files for full market. However I get the full market now? I get facebook, etc?

Folks that are using my ROM, are you having to add those files? If so I will include them in my next ROM.

Only thing my son mentioned was having a hard time finding all the purchased apps in Google Play. I looked at it for a few minutes and the purchased tab from before is not where it used to be that I can tell. Other than that he is not having any other issues and thinks the tab is super fast and good.

OK first ROM is out... now to see if I can fix some stuff. First the SDcard corruption issue!

Alas soon I think mine will be on it's way back to China to be replaced

Hi. Thanks for this great first custom rom. Since i am newbee i would like to know if it will be possible to update your rom in the future if you will go on workin on it or will I have to flash every new version by loosing all my apps and data?

Maybe its hard to understand what i mean cause i am not english native speaking..

I am from germany and a proud owner of the new N101, but until your rom has been presented, the battery issue and other things has driven me crazy..

Good work.. i hope we will see more of your work in future updates..

It depends on what changes I make in future ROMs. But for the most part you make a ClockWork backup. Then flash the new ROM, then restore ONLY /data and /cache. You will have all your apps etc back. Now sometimes depending on the changes I had to make, a resotre of data will not work. It just depends.

I will do my best to make nandroid backiups or ClockWork restores work from ROM to ROM.

When I get my N101 back with a working screen that is one of the first things I will look into doing. It's going to be a few weeks I think though with shipping back and forth. However at this time in4dealz has not emailed me back about a RMA.

Anyway got the rom installed everything seems great. Unfortunately the hdmi on my n101 is defective. I was hoping it was just the firmware but after installing your custom rom I'm still having the same issue.

Just wondering if the navigation bar and the on screen settings tab that was on the original firmware could be turned back on. I'm not sure if that's just a setting in ICS that I just can't seem to locate or what?

Read the readme. I gave you app injector to put back anything I took out.

There were 2 APKs that I had no clue what they were. I think we just found out. STK.apk and TAG.apk.
Try putting those back using APP Injector and see if you get back what your looking for.

Didn't realize those were apps I'm new to ICS and just thought they were part of the os. Turns out that was part of the GolauncherHD app. Still not sure what those other two are (STK and Tag) I installed them first and didn't see a difference.

Thanks Bob -installed beta 1a yesterday and it works a dream.

All apps reinstalled from the Play store with no problem, including two previously purchased.
Everything seems stable. The extra internal storage is really welcome and the reason I took the plunge.

Perhaps I've been lucky but my N101 seems to work fine with none of the issues other have reported. The only problem I've had (prior to your ROM) was the touch screen lost responsiveness once but a reboot fixed it.

Really appreciate your efforts - a little thank you via PayPal made.

i got a question belonging your custom bootanimation:

I downloaded your /system/media/bootanimation.zip to see whats included, because i would like to design my own bootup animation.

So i found your pngs inside, 1280 by 800 pixels, like the other firmwares got it included too, so I started my Gimp Picture Editor and started to be creative.

So far so good, I saved my PNG files and desc.txt and zipped them to a file according to your bootanimation.zip and replaced the original file by my one..

Reboot, but the screen remains black during boot up.

May be it has to be zipped with special preferences? Because I repacked your files (*.png, desc.txt) again in order to test again... but also in this case no boot animation.

Only when I reupload your original zip file (without unzipping before) to the tablet I got your android animation back..

Do you have any hints fo me?

You will have to ask Bob about that I only do the screens. But it is something that is generally hard wired into the Rom
