iFive 3 Retina RileyROM 1.0 KitKat

This ROM is based on official iFive factory firmware dated 5/6/2014.

As with all of the KitKat ROM's, if you are upgrading from a Jellybean ROM, you must keep the loader.bin file checked. If you fail to flash the KK loader.bin, you WILL BRICK YOUR TABLET.

    This ROM is:

    Rooted
Debloated (I used the Chinese version because the English file was unavailable...so I had to remove several Chinese apps)
    Init.d support added
    Busybox commands added
    English default
Pre-Install and Auto-install of apk's from your external SD autoinstall folder
    Google Play Store fixes added
1, 2, 4, 6, 8 or 12gb user app space by selecting the appropriate parameter file (4gb default)
(I've experienced a problem being able to erase IDB on some iFive tablets...so if you have trouble doing so, just use the default parameter file and flash the ROM without erasing IDB)
    Reboot App by Petrus
    Flash Tool by Finless
TWRP Recovery installed after first boot, by Abdul_Pt

    Enjoy!!!!!!

from your pic, must only wipe cache partition and select menu -advance >reboot recovery
If have error must flash stock recovery first in RKAndroidTool tik item misc and recovery
then flash cwm recovery again in RKAndroidTool tik item misc and recovery(cwm)
when boot into cwm recovery only wipe cache partition and select menu -advance >reboot recovery
If boot loop in recovery Must reflash boot.img in RKAndroidTool tik item boot only

              Hope to help you

                Hahaha!!!!!

There's NOTHING wrong with your stock recovery. What you are seeing is what everyone sees. The only thing you need to worry about is if that bottom line "Formatting Data" appears.

For months, I tried to get CWM and TWRP recovery to format everything on first boot in my ROM's, but it usually never worked. I always had to manually format the internal SD whenever I flashed a ROM. With the help of Leolas and 900supersport, we devised a plan to have the stock recovery format everything on first boot, as it is supposed to...and then load the custom recovery from an init.d script after the first boot.

What everyone sees when they go to stock recovery is Andy on his side with the hood up. They think it's a dead Andy. If you press the external keys, you will get the stock recovery menu. It's pretty limited, but you can do some things with it. You may not be able to control the stock recovery, if you don't have a volume rocker (as in some tablets).

My ROM has a generic version of TWRP recovery being installed from a script that runs after the first boot (Thanks to Abdul_pt). You have to wait a minute or two...watch the app drawer. After the reboot app is installed, it installs recovery from the pre-install folder in the system. (If you have apk's in an "autoinstall" folder on your external SD, you must wait until all of those apps are installed...TWRP is always installed last) You can use the reboot app to boot into TWRP recovery.

I suggest that you flash the ROM...wait for a minute or two after first boot to let everything install, and try the TWRP recovery. If you don't like TWRP, THEN you can flash CWM by itself (uncheck everything except recovery.img in the flash tool, and flash it without erasing IDB). Then you can use the reboot app to reboot to recovery.

Afte installing your ROM and letting everything settle... rebooted a few times ... And then enter the reboot app press the reboot into recovery and it boots into Andy on his side just as you said .... After waiting few minutes I try pressing the volume rocker the power buttons and nothing happens .... I've gone through those exact steps you also mentioned for omas cwm and get a string of errors

For some reason, TWRP isn't being installed on first boot, then...because you shouldn't be getting the stock recovery when you reboot to recovery after flashing my ROM.

I will have to do some testing.

                    Everything else works, OK...right?

flashing misc and recovery resulted in brick, stuck on twrp without access to anything, had to manually enter flashmode and flash stock
