It goes through the motions .... Think its only saying its erasing IDB but in actuality isn't ? ..... I'm fairly sure it does erase ....

That's good to know. The mini 3 retina won't erase IDB.Randy

but i wanted to use your firmware so i flashed rileyrom using finless and used the same recovery i used for stock which was abduls twrp 1920x1200 so i checked all the boxes on finless except loader data and backup and flashed rileyrom without erasing idb and it freezes at twrp spashscreen as it used to do when i started all this ....im fixing to try flashing rileyrom again but this time erasing idb and checking the loader

As with all of the KitKat ROM's, if you are upgrading from a Jellybean ROM, you must keep the loader.bin file checked. If you fail to flash the KK loader.bin, you WILL BRICK YOUR TABLET.
This ROM is:
Rooted
Debloated (I used the Chinese version because the English file was unavailable...so I had to remove several Chinese apps)
Init.d support added
Busybox commands added
English default
Pre-Install and Auto-install of apk's from your external SD autoinstall folder
Google Play Store fixes added
1, 2, 4, 6, 8 or 12gb user app space by selecting the appropriate parameter file (4gb default)
(I've experienced a problem being able to erase IDB on some iFive tablets...so if you have trouble doing so, just use the default parameter file and flash the ROM without erasing IDB)
Reboot App by Petrus
Flash Tool by Finless
TWRP Recovery installed after first boot, by Abdul_Pt
Enjoy!!!!!!

Sorry, not at this time. I simply haven't had time to sit down and test a way to do it.Randy

FYI, the reason it boots to recovery is because you flashed misc.img. The file in the ROM kit is set to start recovery on first boot, every time. If you leave the current misc.img in place, it will boot to system.Randy

1. flash stock
2. Root
3. Flash twrp
4. Flash rileyrom without misc and recovery checked
Hopefully that will get twrp working using your rom

Actually, you don't need to flash stock.
1. Erase IDB
2. Flash whole RileyROM
3. Let stock recovery format everything and wait for TWRP to install automatically after the first boot. Dont' reboot the tablet for at least 5 minutes to make sure.
4. Use the reboot app to reboot to recovery to confirm that TWRP installed correctly.
5. If it didn't....uncheck everything in the flash tool except recovery...browse the recovery line to the TWRP recovery image and flash it by itself without erasing IDB.
There's no need to flash the stock firmware first....that's a total waste of time.Randy

Hi there! I hope someone can help me. I'm using Ifive mini3 retina. I tried flashing it to a custom rom using Rockchip batch tool. I managed to successfully complete the process but it does not turn on my device automatically. Instead, my device keeps on vibrating and won't turn on. Is there anything else that I can fix this one?
