    The download at the top of this page is the other custom rom I was talking about that is supose to be designed for the Ematic Eglide. However, it has the same problems when I flashed it. (Permenent root is there, but No Wifi, Sound, or Android Market).

    It seems that everytime I flash a custom rom, it's like the drivers for the device are not there. That's the only theory I can come up with.

    My device doesn't boot into recovery mode like these other devices I am reading about. Espcially because there are no volume buttons on the tablet to hold down as instructed in these recovery tutorials.

        So you will need to dump your stock system.img for me! I cannot do it as I do not have the tablet.

        However let me look around. I think at one time I had a rkdecryptor. Maybe it will work.

                That's Great! I was stressing a little trying to figure out how to dump the stock system image.

                  It's uploading now.

                  Now remember I cannot test this thing so no gaurentee the ROM is not a brick. But since you have update.img and know how to flash it, you can recover.

                  You are using RKBtach tool to flash the ROMs right? If so with this ROM you wull be using RKAndroid tool which I have included in the kit. YOu should not need to install drivers if you have them installed already for RKBatch tool.

                  Upload will be ready in a few.

                            OK here is the ROM.
                            It has SU and Superuser.apk installed. So you are rooted. But again /system is still cramfs so you cannot write to it.
                            I also installed the google play files I had that work on RK28. It's going to be an older version of the Market but it may upgrade once you logon to google.

                            Now to flash with this tool (RKAndroid) you have to follow some steps. Again you should not need to install the drivers even though I included them in the kit.

                            1) Run the RKAndroid tool
                            2) Put your tablet in flash mode. At the bottom, the tool should say that it found a device at the bottom.
                            3) Click the erase IDB button. YES this will erase all your data, accounts, etc. It will be a clean flash like a new tablet.
                            4) Check the loader box check box o the loader gets flash too. By default that is unchecked.
                            5) Now click RUN. It will flash the ROM. WHen done the tablet will reboot and you should be good to go.

                            Hope it works! It's been a while since I did a RK28 so I hope all my scripts worked.
