Th Rom works like a champ! Only issues I am having is the home button in the top left corner of the screen is not working and the play store app says server error. Both issues are not a big deal to me at all. The overall performance of the rom is excellent. I can't thank you enough for your work on this. It turned out fantastic!

Not sure why the button doesnt work? However I have heard of bad google market files causing that!
So that is probably why! We should fix that.

If you know of good market files for your tablet, I can use them. Is there another ROM out there I can take the google files from?

I'll be around tomorrow. I'm not sure about good google files on any other Roms due to never having Wifi to test the market apps. I'll hit you up tomorrow to see if there is a fix. Thanks again for everything.

Good Morning Bob,

I did a little research last night on the google play store giving a "server error" when ever you tried to launch it. It seems a lot of people were having this problem after some kind of update that was applied to that app. Users that have phones found a "MarketFixer" app that tricks your phone into thinking it belongs to another service provider, claiming that this problem only happens in certain locations and you just have to make your phone believe it's somewhere else. I am thinking that won't help a tablet since it is Wifi based.

My Stock Rom that you were working with has the old Android Market that was working on the that stock rom. Maybe we could strip that app from the Stock Rom and try it. I really didn't come across anything else that worked. I tried clearing Cache data and uninstalling play store updates as recommended on some of the forums, but that ended up not working.

OK so I if you want I can just root the stock ROM and not inject the google market files I have. If the google market files that are in the stock ROM work maybe it's best to leave it at that?

Everything Works! Playstore is up and running and even the top left Home Button works. This Rom is flawless. I could not have asked for better results. Thank you very much for everything you have done on this project.

So last thing to look at. Making system writable.

Did any of the other ROM you try make system a read and write? If so I can look at them and try to do the same thing. The last RK28 I worked on the only way was to use what is called AUFS and mirror the system.

If all the other ROMs still have system as cramfs, then it is probably not worth trying.

This might sound like a dumb question, but what are the benefits of making the system writable? I tried a lot of Roms, but I wasn't looking at that and actually I don't even know how you would be able to tell if it was still in read only.
