Help identifying K-R42

Hi everybody.


My TV box came yesterday and well, have to say I'm quite disappointed with it. According to the specs, it has to stream perfectly 720p, and well, it doesn't 100%. Apart from that, the pre-installed XBMC (beyond) had a lot of problems: black screen, missing icons, freezings and shutdowns.

Curious thing is, the seller 'sells' the TV box as a K version, but I've recieved a version with BT, then, it's leaves us two scenarios: 1- Seller mistake or 2- it's a K modded version with a BT built-in. Here's the link: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/MK888...119494403.html

In that case, is there any ROM out there that improves performance in 720p playback? Here are the photos of the PCB, so you can help me identifying if it's a real 'K', a modded one or a genuine 'T'.

So, basically there's no rom or kernel or whatever that makes this device faster in 720p playback?

Edit: the device could be an EK3118B?

As i dont know the ek3118b.. perhaps you can provide a link?

If you wish to try another rom.. please take the time to backup your current rom.. just encase
Then perhaps you could try.. rkpatchomatic

If its just a xbmc problem.. try using SPMC from koying http://ouyaforum.com/showthread.php?8220-SPMC-Koying

Sadly,
Your pcb version is really new.. So, no custom roms
Even worse.. the pcb has been replaced by CS918 v2_3

You may get lucky.. and get a custom kitkat fw..

EDIT:


Tested Wesser's 1.2.5 rom in its K and T versions without sucess. Rkpatchomatic and vsync fix didn't worked either, even slowed down my device.

Bah, had to roll back to stock, gotta forget about watching my series in HD
