rom is fast, modded the included kernel, I was surprised that now my tablet can handle 1.7Ghz low voltages very well than the previous rom. Just 1 problem, still no sound, I have to use the older kernel which was included in 3.2 just to have sound on my tab.

That's right 2.8.1 is much more stable.
I had installed 2.7 a few months and nothing happened, suddenly it start to freeze

Thanks for testing. I just offer up the alternatives to let you guys decide which is best for your particular device. Just like medicine...this is an art....not a science.

btw...my tablet rocks on this ROM. So results may vary.

The sound works fine for me with 3.3.
I have a M9Pro, but since it shares the same hardware as the M7Pro, I thought it might help you.

There seems to be a hardware variation to this tablet that for some unlucky ones...the sound doesn't work. I suggest flashing the 3.2 kernel if you have this problem.

Btw...my tablet has the same problem. But sound does work through the headphones.

                    Ups,

RR 3.3 works very well for me. Very smooth, no freezes..... but no sound as well
I use may M7 mostly without sound, so I didn't recognized this problem

I hope that there will be a fix.

@cshock2010: Which OC kernels are you using?

3.2 kernels for sound to work. I also have kernels for 3.3 but still no sound output at the speakers. 1.7 CPU + 720 DDR is very stable on mine.

Here are my kernels from RR3.2 and 3.3

                        Thanks cshock2010,

I'm now using kernel_M7Pro32_cpu1704-low_gpu600_ddr720 and it seems so far stable and fast.
                        Sound works as usual.

What are the differences between the two kernels?

3.3 kernels doesn't have sound just like the one included in the 3.3 rom but I as I've tested them, 3.3 kernels are newer and seemed faster and smoother than 3.2 kernels.

Hoping for a fixed kernel on the next release.

It think the best combination at the moment is the 3.3 ROM with the 3.2 kernel.

I had the same trouble with sound. After flashing 3.2 it works. Other ussue is home screen. It doesnot rotate at all.Only runned app can. If I try to manually switch to vertical position of homescreen it restarts. Is there any solution how to fix it? Thanks

                                Yes there is a solution.

It involves getting the Launcher3.apk from the 3.2 ROM and copying it into the 3.3 ROM.

I will try to make a fix, today.

How about v3.3.1 with the 3.2 kernel and the launcher fix?
