Jellybean and KitKat have vastly different characteristics in the charging system. All of the code which drives this process is in the kernel (I'm pretty sure). I guess nobody else has tried this particular combination to experience this problem.
Are you using an actual Pipo car charger? If not, you risk burning out the battery charging circuits. There is a very narrow range of voltage allowed...any increase in voltage could brick your tablet. So in spite of the bluetooth problem...be very careful.
My suggestion, if this combination is critical to you, is to go back to the Jellybean ROM. But you MUST follow the instructions documented here on Freaktab on how to switch back to Jellybean from KitKat...or you will bricking your tablet. http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...an-from-KitKatRandy

I have some new/old problems with the latest rom.
1) 3g deactivates in sleep mode, no option to keep it going, once I reactivate the tablet, it takes about 1 Minute for it to regain connection and somtimes I have to even reboot to get online.
2) File explorer often crashes, especially the "downloads" shortcut in the app drawer, it says something like android.media.blabla stopped working.
3) Can't turn on the flash for use as a flashlight using "power toggles" - wasn't there before I updated.
Do you have any suggestions? Should I try an older version?

3.4.2 is working great!
Ive done a fresh whipe and burn. Accidentally bricked due to a lose USB connection the first time, but got it recovered and I'm much happier than with any of the manufacturer ROMs I've tried. Thanks a ton for this. The download bug ismpretty easily overcome with chrome , and the GPS outage is an annoyance at most, but that's just me. Really appreciate the effort.

hey master randy, how is it going?
please tell me, which one ist the latest version ported from a m9pro?
because they offer me to completely switch of 3g modem for receiving deep sleep without changing that freaking lib.fil which leads to an even more poor 3g signal...
i tried 3.4 and it seems to be very smooth fast and stable, but it kills my battery...
best regards from berlin

I believe that 3.0 and 3.1 were the last two M9 Pro ports with the 2.7 kernels.
You might try this ROM with the 2.7 kernel.
Did you try 3.4.2? I haven't confirmed that it totally disables 3G...but it reduces the battery consumption it makes.Randy

As I recall, the later kernels past 2.7 either broke the camera, or gps. I think everything worked with 2.7, but there was battery drain problems...that's just from memory...I don't have time to review all of the threads because I'm at work.Randy

"turn off unnecessary 3G services on wifi only tablets."
didn't sound to me that i should try it with a 3g model
gps is not that important to me, it is a nice to have feature though...
battery life and ability to play clash of clans without manually activating hw-overlays in development options after every reboot is way more my priority...
IMPORTANT:
even without the option to manually switch of 3g modem, device does enter deep sleep.
after waking up it takes a few seconds until 3g modem reactivates.
lets see how clash of clans is working

If you actually use the 3G, then don't worry about it...but if you don't use that feature...it will improve your battery consumption during sleep mode.Randy

so it doesn't have any effects on the signal strentgh like this lib.file?
what about this feature "deactivate hw-overlays"?
on the m9 ported versions it seems to be activated by default, with the original m7 version it is not.
but i need it to be activated by default. it is annoying, to having it switched on after every reboot.
is there any options in build.prop or wherever to set it activated by default?
