Total hypocrisy from Minix to justify to offend the users community and competitors forgetting that they are tied to the SoC manufacturer who are that hold the control on the SDK for themselves and the competitors using RK3188; after months of delay they come out with a poor developed early beta version; they can not handle a single nand-flash partition on the device whilst wasser and other had done already. They don´t have the fineness of offering apologies to the people and competitors for their mistake and bad mouth; totally dissapointed with Minix how to behave. I´m happy to have avoided their new X8 & X8H, looks similar history according testimonies, full of bugs and malfunctioning so far. I will not trust again on this manufacturer, aggressive and bad mouth always with the community.

forgive me but what is the difference between kitkat and android, my lg g3 is kitkat and i don't see anything different, i use flumpsters beyond on my phone runs ok, and uxbmc on windows 7, and flumpsters beyond on my x7 thats ok so can some1 explain and is this official firmware for the x7 thanks.

Android is the name/type of the OS ... sort of like Windows is a name.... KitKat 4.4.x is a version of the Android OS in the same way that Windows 8.1 is a version.

Beyond XBMC is made only to run accelerated on Rockchip CPU/GPU's... so it won't run smoothly on your LG since it isn't made for the CPU/GPU in the LG. Beyond XBMC also doesn't run accelerated on KitKat roms and won't until Flumpster has time to update it to a XBMC Gotham build or newer... So currently Beyond XBMC only works well on JellyBean 4.2.x versions of the Android OS that are running on RockChip CPU/GPU's

Yeah it's official.... officially rubbish. I've said this before, you want kitkat on your x7? better off going custom....
