With the tab plugged in and turned on. Do you see 2 removable drives in windows and can you open them and see the files on internal SD card and external SD card?

It is much easier to boot into flash mode if the tool says found USB mass storage device.

Try another USB port. Make sure you are not going through a USB hub, etc.

My computer is telling me in its device manager that it knows that there's an RK30 device attache.

But the screen says nothing on the device. It doesn't turn itself on at all.

And it still says "No Found RKAndroid rock USB" on the ROM flash tool.

I know I'm being an idiot, but just not certain what it is I'm doing wrong.
I had problems at first to....had black screen , but still no found rk...
What I do (works every time)
      turn on tab...
      connect usb.....
      turn off tab....
      press/hold vol down
      press/hold power..
      wait 5-8 sec
      release power
      wait a sec release vol
      Works every time for me.

anTuTu shows 6500... official ROM was 8000+
        Why?

          thanks everyone

          Good news and bad.

Good news is that I got it to work. The suggestion to try a different USB port seemed to do the trick. After that, all went like clockwork. I felt that same rush that Neil Armstrong must have had (bare with me here, I'm a techie novice so this was seriously radical stuff for me)

Bad news, is that the main reason I was changing the Rom in the first place was that I was hoping that my tablet would start seeing wifi again. And it's not. I worked fine for the first couple of days I had it (though it did have a tendency to turn itself off), but now it just never seems to see any wifi signals at all. Any suggestions for that, or have I just got myself a badly made device?

Official ROM uses kernel #338. This ROM is based off the AssuiePad with Kernel #485.

In my ROM kit are the other kernels. Try flashing kernel #338. You can do JUST the kernel.img with my ROM kit by unchecking everything else and flashing kernel.img. This will not erase your data.

Thats about the only reason I can see for different benchmarks. Nothing else I did should have changed that? The list of changes I made are there. If kernel #338 doesnt help, then I can look into what it might be. Let me know.

1st run of antutu? Or second run? Due to the integratex just-in-time compiler of the Java engine the first run of a benchmark is significantly slower.

Flashblade. Read in my instructions and you can flash different kernels. The #338 kernel might fix you. It fixed my dead screen. So try flashing JUST kernel #338 with the flash tool (uncheck everything else). Boot up, then reboot once more. See if that helps.

Please, explore how to install kernel.
First i must go to Nfs tab, then select Kernel, push "..." and found 338?
or in tab Flash, found line with kernel, erase 485 and write 338, and after flash?

Running 5 times, but resulsts almost same.. not over than 7000

Use the flash tool tab. Uncheck everything except kernel.img. Next to the kernel line on the right is a BLANK little box. CLick that and you will get a file manager. Navigate to /finlessROM and select kernel 338.

All this is in my readme.txt

OK so the only thing it could be then is the AussiePad build.prop tweaks that I added.

See folks... Some build.prop tweaks may not be the best tweaks!

So please try this. Since you are rooted edit build.prop. Try removing these lines one at a time or all of them if you like. I bet it speeds back up! You can put a # in front of a line and that will comment out the line so it is not used.

After making changes to build.prop you MUST reboot!

One more question, if i want to change 2gb app space to 4gb, can i just flash parametr 4gb?

When you flash the new parameter you must erase NAND and flash the entire ROM. The parameter file is like formatting and partitioning a hard drive. Thus changes to it require all partitions to be written again.

Im delete AussiePad tweak - nothing change.. result not over than 7000. Also i copy Tuen build and cut him to your rom, also nothing happens.
In this way Tuens build and ROM better, he has 8000+

His build and my build are from the same ROM.
I find it hard to believe the init.d enablement would do it.

What do you mean you cut his into my ROM?

I will look into this. Which version of Tuen are you using.
