Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM for Q7 EKB311B (PCB XT-Q7-V10 2013-12-05)

I set the output in the HDMI settings to 1080P but wasser XBMC (1.2) reports under system that the output is 720P.

How do I set this up to output the HDMI as 1080P?

Has anyone been successful?

Stock roms come with 720p kernels, even if you change to 1080 in settings, it's only upscaled 1080p but still 720p.
Only a custom kernel provides true 1080p.
I can make one for RTL8188 wifi(will upload it to my thread)

ROM installed and works fine, but i have a little problem, can´t root my device. Tried with towelroot, kingo, rk3188_root and it´s impossible. Does anyone know any other method i can use to root it? Thanks

Just use your kernel until I make one for RTL8188 wifi later.
I first used this ROM as a base, but found it a bit slow/unstable and now use a different source.

I upgraded to the KK ROM for Geekbuying today, and straight after re-rooted using RootGenius. Worked fine - you might need to install Busybox and a SU app for yourself though.

Would like to try your firmware, as I tried Geekbuying but google play would not work, then it was very hard to get back to JB4.2, had to connect pin 8-9, and so on.......
My first question is it same Wifi as RTL8188EUS?
Also any tutorial on how to add kernels?

The default 720/1080p kernels that come with are for MT7601 wifi support.
ROM works with MT7601 Mediatek/MT5931 Mediatek/RTL8188 Realtek Wifi/ Maybe ESP8089 wifi.
Used a ROM base that has lots of wifi support
Just replace the kernel with a RT8188.img one from here to get wifi for your device.

Yes, my ROM above works on Q7, 1.6Ghz CPU unlocked
But only for MT7601/MT5931 wifi, will create RTL8188 kernel for Q7 also to make wifi work.
