    Seems Acemax has a new firmware for our boxes, Date 22/07/2014, read via Androidpc.es

    I haven't tested on mine, so no idea about changes. I suppose they are using latest amlogic source and kernel.

    Flash this firmware in my M8 box, built in xbmc 13.1 gotham. and seems 4K video hardware decoding is ok right now.

    haven't seen other change right now.

          Same date on the kernel? Usually kernel version does not change as it's based off that sources. But it does not mean kernel has not been improved! Don't look at the version but the build date of the kernel! If it is newer date then chances are it's got fixes in it!

            Possible I don't know these things much 3.10.33 JuL 19 ...
            MediaLauncher is a bit snappier but not as good as the one in this FW for the round box

              i am mirroring this download link, will give you guys new download link tomorrow morning when i go back to office.

              Just saw your topic about same kernel, hope this factory is NOT kidding us with the same kernel. i tried to ask for the change log every time, but they don't tell me more about this, it's a shame.

                The kernel version RARELY changes unless AML release a new kernel build! So you go by the #xxx and the date. I would not worry as I am sure there are changes in the kernel.

                My bet is this is a new build based on recent sources from AML.

                    mega.co.nz downloads are problematic often but work best with Chrome browser.

                      I quite like this FW and switched from Lifeforce to this one as a base FW but couldn't sort out the Proper Root , stuff like super su + reboot apk not working despite I've copied all xbin stuff ... getting su binary not installed message...

                      No data-app folder available , needs some tweaking to push apps to that location or you got to create a .tar file etc. etc.. ....

                      So far so good this box is almost perfect!

                      I can't for the Bob's feedback

                          Kitkat SU binary must be run as a Daemon. You cannot just copy the files. Use my S89 EZ root ZIP and it should root it just fine.

                            Probably because OLD ROM was ENY and this one is Acemax?

                            But yes that number can be what the developer puts in. If they are SMART they would make sure they increment but even Minix has made this mistake too. So the date tells you it is newer as that is set automatically during compile from the PC compiling it system time.

                              i have put this on my m8 as well
                              i hope this fixed as the crashing problems my m8 crashes all the time the only way to get it to turn in is to unplug it...
                              Also when you power off why does the blue light stay on all the time?
