I have nothing else for now, sorry. Too busy but keep trying these devices are very difficult to actually brick - so don't panic.

I tried all I can think of...
How exactly is a reset done?
Left hole w pen - plus what? Power USD or USB2? what exactly do I do step by step?
Originally posted by Shomari View PostThat's precisely one of the reasons I use 2.1; it has a simple method of getting devices into MASK ROM mode for use when the loader/IDB are erased.

But looking at the pic I think you could make a qualified guess..?
So 1. Reset button press
2. Keep holding down reset button - plug USB2 - NOT POWER USB - into computer while still holding down reset?
and that should be it?
As it does power on from that...
Feel free to shoot some more ideas - starting to feel the panic here...

Also, this works even when the device isn't recognized by the PC?

OK, I have gotten SOMEWHERE.
I managed to flash the KitKat Rom via 1.7 tool.
Now I'm stuck in a weird bootloop between a Smart TV Logo and recovery screen of an open android trying to check stuff for just one minute. - after like ten such loops i get the 4 colors and it tries to go to the Vanilla front screen - but gets looking a black screen w a small android top left - lower button bar is the only thing there...
I have noway of getting into recovery unless you can through adb somehow...
Ideas?
Are there any compliant JB roms I could try booting as a rescue?

No need to panic, though. I'm sure you'll recover the device. We've all been there before - far too many times, even.

That's strange. Did you try flashing again and see if that behavior repeats?
This firmware is also for MTK chipset and is 4.4.2. It's different from the one I linked earlier. It may help https://mega.co.nz/#!UhdVwS6Y!amnxDZ...JreOW1iZsKTl5Y

Tried 5-10 times...
ok trying that other one - is there anyway to clear cache without going to recovery? ie adb or such?

that one was interesting.
gave me a SMART TV logo, followed by Green Android Recovery Pic spinning for maybe 3-5 mins - then looped this - at least 3 times -i didn't have the patience to wait to see if there'd be a 4th loop.
Any JB roms I could try? right now I'd just love to get the stick running at all...

The not so funny thing is that the stick I have does not have any downloadable firmware...
