Will this freakbox have enough power to play high data rated mkvs which are encoded with AVC Codec?
I have some of these MKVs here and my q7 wont play them properly (i do believe the mali 400 does limit here...)
    Kind regards Snuffy

This is because it is a different CPU ARM <--> x86.
If you need a small Device to Run take a look here faint-project.com

That's a Rockchip RK3188 device - having wasted good money already on a Minix X7 I am staying well clear of anything RK for the time being, thanks

This is the device that I am talking about here:-

It uses an Intel (Celeron?) Z3700 1.33GHz/1.8GHz Burst frequency (x86), Quad-Core Processor (64-bit) and at $99 looks like a bargain!

Still there are other places to discuss this, i think you already linked the respective thread here... ;-)

no offence, just stay on topic.

Thanks - its clear that you & I are not on the same page. I am the OP who started this thread so I do know what it is about.

The site admin made what you would describe as an "off topic" quote - which is 100% relevant to this discussion - I made reference to his post. It is all relevant - both devices are developed by Freaktab - both very different. I favour the "off topic" solution - which at $99 is a bargain!

                  BTW - no offence taken

Sounds interesting, but why no Amlogic or RK3288 ?

is there any chance to see Android L (or Android TV) on this box in the future ?

                    What about Multitouch support ?

Where's The Box? At least Elio Motors has several working prototypes of its $6800 84 MPG car. They just keep kicking production dates further and further down the road (& still have an old gas guzzeling 1980s 3 cylinder German Ford engine under the hood!)

Tucker worked for free on his best car ever that never appeared -- the Torpedo, leaving early buyers with NOTHING.
