    No HDMI output - Looks dead

    Hi all, I've had the S89-H for 8 days now, and all going well, untill last night ... the TV just went blank.

    It has no HDMI output.
    The Blue light comes on.
    The device and files are visible to USB/OTG via PC
    The device does not respond to a SD card / flashing technique.

    I had Finless 1.8 going really well ...

    I have emailed (Sunday night) geekbuying to advise.
    Anyone any ideas ?

    Sadly... its a well known problem


    try..powering down unit and tv
    then power tv.. then unit

      Thanks for the feedback - the device is working via Composite Video, which is pretty useless ...

      I've tried the TV off / TV On / Power up cycle, to no avail ...

        yeah this happened to my second one, it's probably going to be a pain to return...

        its a version 2.0

          Yes, that worries me ... I haven't heard from GeekBuying as yet. I'll give them until tomorrow to email again....

                Yes, of course. That was the first thing I did.
                As yet no reply from them. It's been a bit over 24 hours.
                I'll keep an eye on it.

                    Did you request a RMA?
                    At..
                    [email protected]
                    --post the problem and order number.. followed with a RMA request
                    -can take a week, before you get the rma data.. return adress

                              When my units hdmi stoped.. (if i remember correctly)

                              -req rma
                              -24 h later..confirmation email
                              -8 days.. rma data (return adress / rma order number)
                              -same day send unit back
                              -send e-mail back to rma with track&trace info (pic)
                              -11 days later track& trace shows item reciever
                              -4 days later.. confirmation item recieved in good order
                              -5 days later.. confirmation.. new/replacement item under way

                              Note..
                              When you recieve your RMA data.. print 3 copys
                              -one filled-out ( goes inside the box with unit)
                              -two.. just for the return adress info
                              --one goes outside of the parcel/box (taped)
                              --one for the post-office worker

                              Patience...grass hopper
