Sorry, I have never experienced anything like that.
So when you power up, it goes straight to a bright white screen?
Then I would guess that's before it even starts booting the ROM, so I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with the ROM - but if the problem continues I would definitely try to wipe/factory reset and reflash just to make sure.

      Thanks for answering
I also happens when from sleep (when after a certain time the screen turns off), not only when I boot

Is there a way to get Android Lollipop on the Teclast P98?

Hello, I also have the Teclast P98 and I was wondering if there was a way to get the newly released Android Lollipop onto the Teclast P98. I rooted and flashed RileyRom onto my tablet.

Well, the thing with Android (I'm not saying "the problem", because I much prefer the variety of the Android platform over iOS) is that on top of the 'operating system' itself (like Android L) you need a set of drivers and customization to make it work with the particular hardware you own or produce or sell.

Android is released from Google as a 'core package', and then Teclast, Sony, Samsung, HTC, LG etc. all need to download that core package and add whatever needs to be added in order to make it work on their CPUs, with their screens, their cameras, their hardware buttons, their sensors, etc.

Google use their Nexus line (produced by others, this time by HTC) of tablets and phones as test platforms so they will always have the first official working versions of the latest Android, and then the race is on among the other producers to be the first to be able to release L on (some of) their own devices.

What we will have to do, is wait for Teclast to release a L version, which then Rriley can tear apart and optimize :-)
I don't think Rriley or others want to do the job of modifying L to make it work on our Teclast - but for some platforms there are such a big number of 'hackers' that they may be able to do that job and not having to wait for the manufacturer (you will probably find a few early L's at XDA for other phones/tablets but with lots of bugs).

              gapps and chrome fix

I flashed his 1.1.1 Rom, then installed CWM, then GAPPS and finally the Chrome fix.

General note: always back up IMEI and NVRAM, but I think it's when you do "format + download" when flashing the Rom that IMEI is lost.

              Hello.
i m downloading riley rom ver1.1.1. where can i get the download link for cwn ,gapps and the chrome fix?

Could an owner of a Teclast P98Hd or a a Cube Talk 9x U65GT run a "Droidfish Test" for us and tell us how many "nps" he/she find?

                  I would be very pleased.

                  Thank you very much !!

(Don't let the apps running too long (2-3 minutes), because the device will heal !!
Stop the apps or restart the device, if needed)

On the RK3066 devices, it solved some rebooting problems and file corruptions that were caused by the SD card being formatted in FAT32.
Linux Mint (based on Ubuntu) can format NTFS just fine - and I finally came around and formatted a Micro SD to NTFS, but the Teclast doesn't recognize it.

Boot loop - fixed by wiping cache

                          Just a heads-up.

I suddenly noticed my Teclast boot looping, with the red, chinese Teclast logo, then reboot, then back to the red Teclast logo (never got to the Rriley ROM logo).

I used the pin reset hole on the back, then booted in to CWM recovery.
                          I then selected Wipe Cache.
However this took a very long time, I was about to use the reset pin hole again, but thought I'd just leave it alone on the desk while I did more important stuff on my computer.
After a long while, must have been >10 minutes, I noticed that it had finished. :-)
I did a wipe of the Dalvik Cache as well, then rebooted and everything looks normal.

                          -Christopher

                              Fixed invalid NVRAM

That was actually almost too easy, once I found the solution.
(you need root, of course, and a root capable file manager, your tablet's wifi mac address, and a hex editor)

What you do is basically just hex edit the WIFI file under
                              /data/nvram/APCFG/APRDEB

All you need to do is to copy this file to your computer.
Then use your favorite HEX editor to insert your tablet's MAC address into the first 00000000 line, under columns 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09

Save, copy/replace back to the original place, set permissions to -rw-rwxrwx

That's it, no more nvram error messages in the 'available wifi networks' window.
Just make sure that if you erased your IMEI too, you need to fix that first (I didn't and got the nvram error back, but when I first fixed IMEI, then did this hex editing to fix nvram, everything seems to be fine now, I've rebooted 3-4 times to confirm)

My Teclast P98 3G (A3HY) is not detected under Windows 7

                                Hi Gurus,

thanky for the wall, really glad of it even because i've a Teclast P98 3G (A3HY).

like the subject of the post i've a problem: my tablet is no more recognized on my laptop HP (windows 7).

While i’m followed lot of troubleshotting guides on the web (like that https://www.topnotchtablets.com/FixUSBproblems) the problem still persist, the device is not present in device manager even with any yellows mark.
I’ve tried different cable, switch on the device different kind of connection (PTP, MTP, etc), different ports and tried to make hard reset but nothing.

What other test can i do to make my device visible under win7? I'm tryn' from days...

                                Thanks advance
