So far, I've taken a conservative approach to making many changes to these P series ROM's, but it appears we need to fix the battery drain problem on the wifi version.

I've put together a new ROM v1.5.1. This new version is from the same stock firmware with some build.prop adjustments to improve battery drain problems. 3G capability has been turned off.

Just go to the link in post #1 and download the new ROM.

I received my P1 10 day ago, and now need to flash it mainly because of its unsufficient user space.
So, RileyRom 1.5 is for me... And this evening, back from work, i'll flash.

Did you flash Pipo P4 RileyROM 1.5 on a P1 tablet?

I just installed 1.5.1 as you ROM has less preinstalled apps than the Arctablet one. I have no feedback yet on battery drain but will come back later.

I have been trying to switch to Google Now launcher but it simply will not work, I can only choose nova (which I also installed) or Launcher3 (default one).

Any ideas?

Yesterday when I posted battery was at 55%. Tablet has been in my laptop bag ever since, just took it and it was off.

Still doesn't seem right to me. Do I need to share log files to get some more insight into the issue?

I remember a lot of discussions about battery life time in Pipo P1 and P8 thread. I'm not sure if it can help/guide you in any way. But please have a look:

It sounds like the same problem that the M9pro Wifi experianced. Isn't it possible to do a simular thing with the libril-rk29-dataonly.so? Or does that not exist on the P4?

It's worth a try, but I'm not sure if it will work.

This fix worked great on JB ROM's...but since we are running 4.4.4, I'm not sure if it is still compatible.

With KK RR 2.7 on my M9pro, it worked fine. But then again, it did not work for everyone. So it wil be a longshot. Can you make file fore it?

Here is a file you can flash with CWM or TWRP....but I don't think we have one for this tablet.

So, extract the libril-rk29-dataonly.so and replace the same file in system/lib. Give it rwx permissions.

Since I come from a M9pro, i'm not used on the new flashprogramm atv2.2. But when I look in the help pdf, there is only the old 137 flashtool howto.

So what is the sequence in this new tool?

Lower format
Run

Also parameterfile have *.txt. Is that ok, or must I rename it like in the old M8pro day's?

Ah, just found out the whole First Time User Guide_rev9 is bogus when flashing a new model Pipo. Can I find a guide somewhere that give the what ifs wenn hitting rockbottom when flashing has gone wrong?
