Have you clicked the reset button on the back of the tablet with a paper clip? That turns the tablet off.

To get into flash mode manually, I think it's holding down vol+ while pressing power when connected to USB. The problem you are having is that the tablet is stuck in a different mode somehow.

If that doesn't work, you may have bricked the tablet. You might have to remove the cover and short some pins on the NAND chip in order to get into mask mode so you can flash the correct ROM. That's a last resort, though. I haven't unbricked one of these 3288's yet....and I hope I never have to.
Thx , i'll try later when i go home

    Edit.

I tried vol down and power with no luck.. Only with vol up and power i listen ******the Windows "sound pop-up" ... But "no found device" on Androidtool and on Windows ******devices management i can see the Yellow ! for Unknow usb device.
    Any advice

            Hi All !
Great work Riley, really appreciate Your good work. Constantly updated ROMs was one the main points when I decided to buy Pipo P1.
I have a noobie question: should I upgrade to latest FW before flashing latest RileyRom ?
P1 should arrive next week, eagerly waiting...

                1. Download the ROM Kit for your version (wifi or 3g).
                2. Unzip the kit on your desktop, or wherever you downloaded it.
                3. Open the AndroidTool.exe
                4. With your tablet turned on, with USB debugging turned off (in settings), plug in the USB cable. Be sure to always use the USB cable that came with the tablet.
                5. Make sure the USB drivers are installed for the Rockchip device. (see the First Time User's Guide for details, if you are having trouble)
                6. You should see the tablet recognized by "Found One MSC Device" in the bottom of the tool.
                7. Click the "Switch" button to reboot the tablet to flash mode. The screen will turn black.
                8. Click "LowerFormat". It will count to 100% (very quickly).
                9. Click "Run".
                10. When the flash is finished, the tablet will boot into stock recovery and will format your partitions.
                11. First boot will take a little longer than usual...just be patient and watch the boot animation.
                12. Once the tablet boots to the system...you will have a fresh, rooted system to work with.

                This ROM is:

                Rooted
                Debloated
                English as default language
                init.d support added
                Busybox commands added
                Google Play Store fixes added
                Reboot app by Petrus
Your choice of 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12gb user app space (select the parameter file you want to flash) The default is 4gb

Thanks to Geekbuying.com for providing me this and many other Pipo tablets to develop.

This ROM contains a working version of TWRP Recovery which will be installed during the first boot. You will notice the stock recovery appear during the first boot to format all of the partitions...then you will boot to system and TWRP will be installed...just wait a couple of minutes for this process to happen before shutting down the tablet. You can use the Reboot App to reboot to TWRP.

                Download Wifi Version
                Download 3G Version

                Enjoy!!!!

                Hello, I followed the steps.
At step 5, I had an error "error 10 : the device cannot start"
I have an exclamation point in the device manager
And in the tool I have a message : Found One loader device.
                Any idea ?

Arkandi -- no need to cite the whole first post
I am assuming you already started the device in bootloader mode ?
If so and the tool finds the loader then don't worry about the exclamation mark.
If Erase IDB will work - so will the flashing... just move on. The key to success is to be able to stay in the bootloader ( Loader ) in order to flash. If you achieve this -- you can flash properly.

Be sure you are using the USB cable that came with the tablet. Use a USB 2.0 port...not USB 3.0. If the flash too sees your tablet in loader mode...you can flash the ROM.

Also....Windows 8.1 will not work. Only XP through Windows 8.0 will work flashing a Rockchip device.

Randy - that is not entirely true...
I have a few Windows 8.1 devices and from them I can do the flashing... however -- it requires some more skills to do.
I will re-post the post I have created on the crewrktablet forum -- the way to make "old" loaders also work on Windows 8.1 (Windows 8 uses still the old driver schema - more details -- read on).

My re-post from other forum :

The problem was described in the Chuwi V17HD and Odys Iron threads… but now I have found a valid "general" solution.
So -- the change done by MS that happened after upgrade from Windows 8 to 8.1 is that they require a Device to have a proper Device Descriptor. This is not a problem if your RK-Tablet has already booted or is in Recovery mode.
But -- this IS a problem if you are in the Flash-mode (Bootloader mode) and you are on an older Bootloader.
The older Bootloaders do not support proper Device Descriptors resulting in problems like "Device Descriptor Request Failed", unknown USB device etc.
Two solutions that work. First one is "safer" but only for mainboards with an Intel USB 3.0 Controller, second one is a "generic" one + one hotfix from Microsoft that also seems to work.

The first one that works flawlessly on my laptop with Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller is described here (also with the modded driver) :
                        http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php...r-windows-8-1/

Second solution is to use "generic" usb driver from Windows 7 or Windows 8 -- one of such drivers is attached & described here >
                        http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2598155

The above solutions might also help with other devices that are not identified correctly in Fastboot / Bootloader / ADB mode.

Of course for ADB to detect your device correctly (adb devices) you also need to make sure that the VendorID is in the file Cbackslash)Users(backslash)[user name](backslash).andriod(backslash)adb_usb.ini (if not existing – create one).
                        For Rockchip it is 0×2207

Peace and grace to you and your love ones

Great work, thanks! I received my P1 today and immediately flashed RileyROM 1.5. Worked flawlessly, but the main reason for switching from the Odys Noon to the Pipo P1 (besides increased performance) was the multiuser ability in Android 4.4.
But the ROM still had no such option. So I googled a bit and found the following: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/...k3188-4-4-2-1/

So I modified the framework.jar as described and updated the P1. Now I have a multi-user Android
You already had the setup defined in build.prop, but the framework.jar had to be changed.

Can you please add this functionality in future ROMs?
