    p.s. I've tried using the more recent Android 4.4 (Kit-Kat) for RK3066 devices with MTK chip (posted by Shomari) HERE which works beautifully EXCEPT for a Bluetooth issue (i.e., pairs with Bluetooth devices, but does not fully communicate?) ... if anyone knows of another Kit-Kat firmware for Hotack T005-V4 or Rikomagic RK802IIIS/BT with MTK chipset (or workaround/patch for the foregoing Bluetooth issue), please reply to this thread. Thanks!

      Hi,

      It's appears that you have the same problem that me. I tried some ROMs, Finless, Shomari and others found on the internet. Just one works for me, but not working with MTK chipset, such as BT too not worked.

      If you get a .ko files for mtk to this kernel in this link may be it will work.

      I contact chinese store sold me it and he passed me this link

        Hello romulofranco,

        The above link you provided is a fully working Android 4.2.2 firmware for RK3066 device [such as my DTV001] with Mediatek MT5931SA (WLAN) + Mediatek MT6622N (Bluetooth) ... I have fully tested it.
        Archive: MK809II UG007New.rar (186.1 MB)
        Firmware: cyxtech_rk30_dongle_mtk_131118.img (340 MB)
        Firmware ver.: 4.1.01 time: 2013-11-18 11:06:25
        Loader ver: 1.34 time: 2013-06-21 16:59:31
        Support: RK30
        Model Number: rk30mtk
        Android version: 4.2.2
        Kernel version: 3.0.36+

        Vendor software version: RK3066_R-BOX_ANDROID4.2.2-SDK_V1.0.0_130308

        During my testing, I found;
        (1) The firmware is rooted
        (2) The Wifi and Bluetooth are fully working
        (3) Power icon = 'Screen off' only (meaning 'Sleep', with power always on ...
        wake with mouse or keyboard) ... no 'Restart', no 'Power off' function ...

        During my testing, I also found text strings "/data/MTK_MT6622_E2_Patch.nb0" and "/system/etc/firmware/MTK_MT6622_E2_Patch.nb0" inside this file;

        /system/lib/libbluetooth_mtk.so

        Which may indicate some manufacturers are adding a Bluetooth patch for specific MTK chipsets ... the indicated file is also present in filesystem;

        /system/etc/firmware/MTK_MT6622_E2_Patch.nb0

        Another good Android 4.2.2. firmware is;Also this custom, rooted Android 4.2.2 (Finless ROM 2.0) firmware;

        Finally, I have good news and success!! It is very easy to run Android + Debian Linux unified system using VolksPC custom firmware:Once you have the VolksPC firmware running on your device, you will need to add the latest Debian Linux system update linuxfs.img using a freshly formatted microSD card;Be sure to follow instructions (see: "Installation Procedure") ... do not disturb the system during the update (wait 5+ minutes for system to auto reboot)...

          Hi revbobdobbs,

          Thanks for your answers.

          I tried all this roms, but no success. My motherboard device is exactly like this:

          I tried VolksPC firmware but the screen stopped in an image like this: Robot Android in center of TV and I waited for about 5 minutes, but nothing happens.

          The chinese vendor will send me a new Mini PC, but I want to recover it.

          Can I put a RK3188 firmware just test in this device (RK3066)?

          PS: Sorry my english...
          Thanks

            Hello romulofranco,

            I've sent you a private message in your language. I am posting here for the benefit of other users.

            If you are sure that your RK3066 device is the same as riclixo's MK809II fake, silkscreened with "GXT809IIx32_V1.32") ... then I suggest you start your own thread "Need firmware for MK809II fake 'GXT809II'"... including detailed photos of your device.

            Almost all devices are unique (although many are using the same chipsets) ... due to GPIO ("General Purpose Input Output") generic pin implementation specific to each device.

            p.s. I don't believe it would be possible to swap RK3066 and RK3188 firmwares without customizing the kernel for your device.

            Best wishes finding the correct firmware,
