    PERFORMANCE vs BATTERY LIFE

I am currently working on the new rom for U65GT. Everyone is using tablet differently. Here is my question!
    What do you prefer?
    BATTERY LIFE= less performance
    PERFORMANCE= less battery life

    Let`s vote!!!

i vote performance. a custom kernel with nice overclock would be great too. if somebody has source files or whatever needs to make a kernel.

As i told you a couple of times, I would like to tune low frequency to an even lower and modify also the voltages. I'm on holidays now and I can't do any mod, but if is possible to enable the kernel compatibility with trckster mod or cpu tweaker would be fine!

both are necessary, overclocking the highest frequency, and underclocking the lowest. On my note, a 570 MHz overclock is enough, battery life still good, the lowest frequency is underclocked, voltages are much lower than stock, voltage control is important too for power savings without losing performance. a custom kernel should contain everything, and everybody can test what settings are stable for own device.

I prefer batterylife as long as the performance is still good. There should be a way to teach the tablet when to turn off WiFi and stuff automatically. Most of the programs for that get information's via GPS and see: at home-> WiFi on Bluetooth off and volume up. But GPS needs like more energy than the program saves.

          Back to topic:
I think that a intelligent frequency is the best.

Battery life, with over clocked performance when needed. The battery life on the last rom is great, but more is always better.

The goal is reduce lowest freq/volt from 728mhz to a more conservative 200-300mhz reducing the relevant voltage too, and for who needs more power (not my case) increase the maximum freq from 1667Mhz to 1800-1900 (i suppose that 2Ghz is almost impossible without increase maximum voltage too)

                    AW: PERFORMANCE vs BATTERY LIFE

Unlock frequencies in Kernel and then lock with SetCPU as needed is the best solution IMHO.

I don't think is a good idea to lock frequencies, there are so much better strategies...

On pipo m6pro I found a way to increase performace by 10-15% AND increase battery life of 20%. Now on Cube I didn't have enough time to study thr kernel...

Guys not much could be done without the sources. But so far this is what i did on the kernel customization
-100% insecure boot.img-------> no more problems with rooting I think i am the first guy on the web who successfully managed the root permissions on the U65GT
-init.d support on the kernel level
                        -enable 8 cores online

Why "8 core online"? Hotplug governor works really well and it is able to put all cores online when necessary.
                          Do I miss something?

Well. Heres your answer. If you check under trickster mod you will see that 6 out of 8 cores are enabled. And only 6 cores are kickin in under load.2 cores are never used unless you run benchmark.
When enabled all of 8 cores battery life is the same thanks to the hotplug governer but when you run the benchmark and in real life the system runs smoother and you have few more FPS when playing games
