I rebooted my R89 box and after the reboot, it asked me if I wanted to update. It did the update and now it is running this new firmware. Everything that was there prior to the update, is still there.
    I couldn't get this method to work. I put the update.img on my MicroSD card and it found the update, but said it couldn't find it after rebooting.

    One word of caution, it is recommend to power off your equipment prior to connecting or disconnecting your HDMI cable.

    No chance to use a setup like this
    R89 ->HDMI-> AVR ->HDMI-> TV
    only to be sure nothings get wrong because of the disconnect...???

    Then you can create the logcat per Oman's instructions......
    thanks for the test.

    yes, I am aware that you will have no video, but when you connect back to your tv, you could still create the logcat.

    I have this option on my tv when connecting through tv, with dolby activated I get 5.1 sound. Note tv will not passthrough DTS but DTS video surround files through tv:s usb player will output 5.1 DTS to my surround reciever (reciever sees audio as dts, a third dts option is visible in the same menu).

    Tv:s netflix app also gives 5.1 dolby to surround reciever.

    I have changed the speakers to better ones.

    XBMC/SPMC still have problems:

    Notice surround system should only say dolby a few seconds.

    First SPMC hdmi arc.
    Second XBMC hdmi arc.
    Third XBMC connected with optical.

    Yes you are correct. AudioRerturnChannel HDMI cable from tv to surround system. That way I can control the volume with tv:s remote (CEC).
