    Improvement on IR remote response

I have done two things which appear to have improved the IR remote response.

1 By carefully bending the sensor component forward it is moved closer to the window and thereby opening the unobscured sensitivity angle.

2 Looking from the inside the window has a horizontal "ledge" that is a fraction of an inch wide. I took a small piece of aluminium tape and stuck it on this "ledge" in order to reflect any IR falling onto this part up towards the sensor.

The range and offset angle sensitivity is now good enough for my setup.

Thing is you shouldn't do all these
Imagine you've paid $150 for this device ... Casing needs some mods thats for sure!

Agree that the customer should not do this on a $150 device. I think it could be overcome by moving the sensor forward during production by simply bending the leads on the sensor in a stepped shape before inserting it into the holes. If the sensor is right up against the window it should be good.

Yep taking the board out you notice the FIT is poor and needed a complete revamp,it seems the board was designed but the fitting checks on the case where rushed...but then again i think the intention was to get the box to the testers as soon as possible because of previous delays..so we must all consider that.

Fixed (kinda) the Mele F10 Problem.

You need a extra mouse to do this:

Plugin the Mele F10 Pro and Plugin your mouse. Don't use the Mele F10 Pro yet use your mouse to go to Settings -> Sound -> Devices

There switch to the standard (1st) Option in Sound out and in.

After that you can use the Mele F10 Pro without problems.

Maybe Belink could look into this. Maybe change the automatic switch to that device.

              Greetings.

I didn't test the sound function of the Mele. I had to select the default option to prevent the Beelink R89 to stop working with the Mele F10 Pro.

If I don't switch to "default" the Mele F10 Pro stops working after a couple of seconds.

Its best to avoid the F10 Pro if possible and go with the older F10 or New F10 deluxe as the sound issiue/Mic on the pro is a pain and having to take out the wifi adaptor to get smooth playback can be a pain.

                        Stock remote after 108k4 update

                        Stock remote,
The top buttons, the "media" button brings up the music screen.
the "music" button brings up the Video screen.
the "web" button brings up the browser, which is correct.
the "app" button doesn't do anything.

                        the "mouse" button works.
                        the "mute" button works.
the "menu" button brings up something, but not a menu.
                        the "home" button works
                        the "volume" buttons work.
                        the "return" button works.
the "directional and OK" buttons work.
                        the "numerical" buttons work.
depressing and holding the "power" button brings up "Power Off" and "Silent Mode"
Clicking "Silent Mode" sound is off or on.

I have an input issue. When I type on a wireless keyboard or an airmouse almost always the letters stick and it types the same letter continuously like I have my finger pressed on the button for a long time

I have not run into that issue on this box with my remotes. I have had that problem other times, on other boxes when the remote battery gets low.

Is it possible to run the rom from a sd card?

I'm going to be buying a 64gb samsung pro sd card that's super fast so it'd be great to run android from it.
