No doubt! However, given the option - duplicate posts or a single mis-titled discussion (i.e. Beelink), I think 10 out of 10 Tronsmart owners would much prefer duplicates. What percentage of end users (2 months down the road) will actually know their Tronsmart Orion has the same hardware (cross compatible) as the Beelink? My guess is there won't be many. We should nip this in the butt, so feedback can be maximized.

        Bob

I understand it is messy to have two forums and some very useful information may not be in both forums, so it is possible that some answers may be harder to find with two forums, BUT

I do not like the idea of simply having no Tronsmart forum. There has to be a way for people to very easily come to this site for the first time, find a forum for their device and get the advice they want. There may be a way to have the tronsmart forum be VERY clearly labelled, so sticky posts would make it clear that Tronsmart s89 = Beelink s82 (whatever it is) and then have links there...

Personally I do find it a bit confusing Bob, when I go to find a rom for my Tronsmart and see the rom maker has a link to another device. Then in that other forum I see a bunch of models, none of which is mine... very confusing.

So my opinion is it is possible, but needs to be done in a way that makes the Beelink forum NOT just the Beelink forum, but is CALLED the Beelink/Tronsmart forum, and has stickies which say which device = which device.

        Cheers guys,
        Mark

Bob, I understand you're busy, and have bigger fish to fry, HOWEVER, there is nothing to debate - you know exactly what needs to be done. Again-again, even if they were EXACTLY the same, expecting Tronsmart customers to post in the Beelink discussion area is counterproductive for current members, and a nightmare for new users. You have a great site here, but it needs to be organized. An extra moderator might do us some good.

On my Tronsmart Orion Meta xbmc or kodi the picture quailiy is dark even when playing Hd streams. I want a quality clear picture on my tv. I also have the 2g/8g device and both are the same. I have the Ugoos Ut3 and it picture is very good. So I downloaded the Ut3 firmware on my Tronsmart Meta. The new firmware plays streams in a high quality. You must use the Xbmc Alpha 4 git 2014-08-31 that came on the last firmware upgrade on the Meta . If you try this you might like it. I am happy. In this firmware you can adjust the picture to you liking in settings Display.

              That is most interesting.

I haven't found any issues with my Meta with regards to the dark picture but knowing that the UT3 ROm works on the R28 is something that others may be interested in.

Of course it does mean that you won't get Tronsmart OTA updates in future, although you may perhaps get Ugoos ones.

It may be worthwhile posting the dark picture issue on the Tronsmart Community Forum so that they can take a look at it for future updates.

By editing build.prop and replacing the update APP you can make any ROM get OTA updates. Now if they work on top of another ROM... that is the $100 question

"Pardonne-leur car ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils font"
"Perdónalos porque no saben que lo que hacen"
"Oprosti im, jer ne znaju što čine"

i did contact support 3 days ago but they have not got back to me. I do have the 2g/8g that I ordered for family member so I can keep on top of future firmware updates and go back on mine if necessary. I did check the Ugoos update an my Meta and it did connect to their servers and notified the firmware was current.

There was a two day holiday in China 1st and 2nd Oct and they will close again for the whole of next week 5th to 13th Oct National Holidays. You will need to be patient for a response.
