Any Luck Overclocking CS968 with MTK Chipset?

It apears your luck is the same as mine!
Does the location value for the kernel have to be changed in the RK tool from default?
Perhaps that is where our problem lies?

I found out that my device is v5 one. Perhaps D33's kernels work on v4 and other. If anybody could confirm that D33's kernel work or not on CS968 MTK v5, or give us direction what to do to make it work.

Perhaps Frant could offer us some more assistance since he seems to have been successful with his combo.

That means Kernels from here http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...8well-most!%29 do not work on CS968 MTK v5 devices. Perhaps, somebody could tell that to D33, if he has a time to create one working on our devices.

I am not sure about V5 boards. Frant indicated that his was working with V5 (post #9). Have you tried the QuickShot Rom? If it works on your box try installing the kernel that Frant indicated. That will help us eliminate if it is a V5 problem or a Rom/Kernel issue.

Just to confirm, tried both tech1 and QuockShot ROMs, with D33's kernels, not working. Boot loop again on CS968M HTC v5 device.

I have build 2, 1 normal kernel cpu/gpu/ddr stock FULL HD and the other overclocked (took me some time to find a perfect combination that work on my device) cpu 1600/gpu 600/ddr stock FULL HD.
The only thing that wont work its the damn camera, i dont know what module to build.....
Everything else works good, Ethernet wifi and bluetooth.
Tested on a Tech1 rom, "CS968_2MPZX19.2-MTK-T018-UltraPlus-Android TV-Multi-Media-Super-ROM-20151231_update.img"
Thks to D33 for its kernel, and tech1 for its rom.
If anyone want to test at your won risk i can upload the kernels...
Some Screenshots, some from "normal" kernel(lower score) and other from "OC" kernel(bigger score).

I would be interested in trying your various combinations. Perhaps if they work for a few of us they could be pinned as a usable way to get full 1080 and overclock for our MTK versions.

Nop its not only the ddr, disabled all that was normal RK3188(OC of course) and for the RK3188T the CONFIG_RK3188T_CPU_OVERRIDE was the only option that i enabled and CONFIG_RK_PWM_VOLT_MAX_1450 and disabled the DDR oc.(my device uses elpida...)
Still cant make the damm camera work lol.
