    Jelly Bean for the N101-2 just posted on Yuandao site (was hoping it was n101-1)

    Yuandao just posted the N101-1 Jelly Bean (I think). It does not say it is for the -2 model either!

    The N101 dual engine-4.1.1 -201208280- official version firmware

    OK I managed to download it faster from the alternate site. It also appears the direct link from Yuandao is not broken... Odd... Wonder if they pulled it for some reason.

      Well.... maybe this is the -2 release Piers sent me. I flashed it to my -1 model and it bricked it same as his -2 Jellybean ROM did.

      So I will pull this ROM apart and see whats up.

        OK so the readme which is in chinese says it's for the N101 2.
        So this is going to be the released version of what Piers got a few days ago.

        Bummer... was hoping for some n101-1 love from Yuandao.

        I have a feeling us n101-1 users are going to be left out in the cold as obviously the n101-2 is taking its place

          This package has a new loader version 1.14
          The loader does work OK on n101-1. Not sure what it brings to the tablet though.

                  Aussiepad doesn't sell the N101 II, only the v2 of the original. The ones sold after the 5th August had the new kernel but still the twin speakers. He has been one of the first sellers with the newest firmwares so I think he will have the real thing.

                    Cool.... I hope so! I cannot wait till I can boot a JB ROM.

                    I have tried for several days now to port the N101-2 JellyBean to the N101-1 and I have gotten some success but too much stuff does not work

                    It is clear JellyBean requires a kernel compiled for the SDK level needed for JB. I have to say I have previously been pretty damn successful in porting ROMs to old kernels, BUT NOT in this case! I am close but trust me.... I am about ready to give up!

                    If we do not get a JB ROM for N101-1, I "will" continue that work but for now, I give up trying.

                    I hope us N101-1 users get a JellyBean..... But I will be honest with you guys after dealing with China tablet makers for a while now... They DROP old units faster than you can say "I JUST BOUGHT THIS THING"!!!
                    So I seriously have my doubts.... Yuandao is clear to me they do not give a rats ass about N101-1 now. It's all about WHAT IS SELLING NOW!

                    In the end no matter what.... I own a N101-1 and will do my best to make it better! Thats what I do especially when the manufacturer DROPS it's ASS on consumers and leaves us in the cold....

                          Well I took the plunge and decided to buy a Chinese VPN to see if that helped downloading - not really.

                              OK time to get serious and figure out why I cant make a JB system.img.

                              Stay tuned I will figure it out and make a ROM from this
