So I am currently using an rk3066 based mk808b TV stick, which I kind of love an hate at the same time. I mean, I love the idea of having full on android system on my TV, but the thing is - it is kind of laggy and really unstable, e.g. I get a lot of crashes 'n' stuff. Also, XBMC struggles to play 1080p videos, let alone stream them from the web

So I've decided to get me something with more power and RAM, like Ubox r89 or CS918. The question is, are the rk3288 based devices worth the extra dollar? I won't be using the 2K/4K video output modes, but I do plan on doing some gaming, so the octa core mali graphics processor would come in quite handy. If XBMC would run smoothly enough, I'd consider using that as well, but, at least as for now, I'm pretty satisfied with MX Player.
Also, I've read that rk3288 devices (well, at least Beelink/Ubox r89) get really hot. Do they have any heatsinks? Because, judging from the photos I've seen, they do not

Also, do hdmi dongles and tv boxes based on the same chipset differ performance wise (e.g. CX919 and CS918)?
I'd be more than happy to hear some oppinions from You guys, espicially those of You, who have used both rk3188 and rk3288 based devices.
Also, if You have any advices on how to make mk808b eat up less ram and make it less unstable and laggy, I'd love to hear that too.
