thanks londonshore for trying to help. but i guess finless rom isn't meant for amlogic a9 m8. i re-flashed the device with a rom i found at geekbuying.com. it's not as recent (20140819) but bluetooth is showing up. so let the good times roll again.

I also have an issue, I cannot find where to set a screensaver? The MBOX settings have a few options but they all are just times for the MBOX one.

Dayframe is not working I think because of this.

thanks again. clicking wifi only showed wifi networks available, no BT. no way for me to pair 'cuz BT isn't showing up.

Do u see this screen?

In settings under wifi should be Bluetooth click on it and make sure the box on the top right is turned on then pair ..

yes I can. Sorry for the rest. it's in Dutch:
1 Download de laatste ROM
2 Pak de Zip file uit en zet de bestanden op een SD kaartje (root)
3 Maak een backup van je oude bestanden
4 zet het systeem uit
5 druk de restore knop in (via tandenstoker) en druk op de power button. Houdt beide ingedrukt todat logo verschijnt (daarna loslaten).

Kijk anders even in de zip file die Bob toegevoegd heeft daar zit een goede uitleg bij

het is al gelukt via een usb stick sd kaart lukte gewoon niet even goed bedankt weet je trouwens ook hoe je usb hdd kan sharen met een windows pc dus ik heb een android box met 2 usb hdd aangesloten en die wil ik zien op men windows 7 pc network drive van maken zodat ik bestanden kan plaatsen aanpassen etc het kan via ftp android maar je kan niet zien hoeveel ruimte er nog op de hdd zit

ey kun je me vertellen hoe je hebt geupdate naar 109k4 het lukt me namelijk niet via micro sd
en of via update app en ik kan het img bestand niet vinden voor 109k4 anders had ik het via burning tool geprobeerd
