This thread and that article are fascinating reading. Is it possible that it would help to get the app which supposedly reads the prebuffer resolution?

I'm testing the 4K for the AllWinner A80 with ZERO Devices Z8C Alice. Here the device:

But I'm not sure where to post these things. I think it would be better to open a new thread and talk about resolution with different 4K players. Now we will be talking about RK3288 and A80 (and maybe S802 as yesterday I received a new "toy").

        Well, this is:

        AllWinner A80 - ZERO Devices Z8C Alice

        4K-30 - MX Player (100%)

        Open BIG picture here

        1080p-60 - MX Player (100%)

        Open BIG picture here

No other configuration than 100% let me see the black and white dots.

Note that first one looks like ONLY ONE black pixel is managed, but it looks not correct.

Another important thing, also playing with the ANDROID SCREEN SCALE (do not talking about MX Player Scale) these results are different. These pictures was with an ANDROID 100% SCREEN SCALE.

To be a valid 4k test, the player must not be zooming in. 100% means image was zoomed.
