What JB? Someone made one or it's from manufacturer?

I will try it but here is the deal. JB wont run on an ICS kernel. JB made more changes to how the kernel and system drivers work vs ICS. I have tried many times to port JB using an ICS kernel and have not been able to do it
I will try but I do not have high hopes.

Hi Bob,
JB is running well on the Aoson with the ICS kernel. I don't know how.
And about CWM: YIPPEE!! It works like a charm. Thank you so much Bob. Unfortunately, the 'can't mount SD' bug persists. Haven't tried using a microSD card yet, but I'm pretty sure it'll work because it did in previous versions of CWM.
Thanks.. Let me know if you need any testing.
EDIT: Yes, microSD works
Have a question her: I have an update.zip used for rooting the Samsung S5360. What files do I need to change so that I can use it on the M11? Thanks!Last edited by yash3339; 22 September 2012, 19:31.

WHen do you see the error cannot mount internal sdcard? On boot of CWM or sometime else.
Also go into advanced and mounts and try mounting it manually.
If you still get the error I know how to fix it but I will need you to do some commands for me in a terminal emulator from google play. It's easy to do but I will need that info.

Finless, Firstly thanks for fixing CWM and Touchscreen to work with Aoson M11. When I made a backup in CWM I noticed it said "sdcard marker not found then sdcard internal marker found" when it first was checking. It can only b/u to internal this way. Could there be away of both sdcards being seen and the option where to backup. When you reboot into recovery under install zip from sdcard you have the choice of both sdcards. As the external card is usually larger than internal and normally does not get formatted via CWM it would be more logical to have CWM folder on there instead of internal. ThanksClive

FYI the JB system wont boot on my Yuandao using any of any of the yuandao kernels. As I suspected JB changed how screen drivers work with the kernel.
CWM. I need you guys to be accurate on what your telling me. So you know, sd-ext is NOT the sdcard or internal sdcard. This is a special partition you can make on the external sdcard which is a EXT4 partition. It is used by titanium and link2sd app. So you will never be able to mount that unless you partition your external sdcard with CWM.
Now the terminalology in CWM is this
/sdcard is the external sdcard. On boot of CWM you should show this in mounts as already mounted and have the commant unmount /sdcard instead of mount /sdcard.
/emmc is the internal sdcard memory. AGain on boot this should be mounted. BUT I just flashed your ROM again with this touch version of CWM and your right emmc is not mounted and wont mount. Thus you cannot do a backup to "internal sdcard".
OK I need you to do this. Install terminal emulator from google play
Run it
at the first prompt type su
Respond to the superuser prompt and let it have su access
now type:
cat /proc/mtd
I need this info.
then type:
mount
I need this info as well.
Then I will finally fully fix your CWM.

OK wait!!!! I think I found the problem.
Again remember in CWM /emmc is internal sdcard!!! On first boot after flashing the ROM it is not formatted and cannot be formatted from CWM first boot. Something is odd with your boot.img about that.
HOWEVER, boot to the OS and go into settings and storage. You may see that "nand flash" is not mounted! Click mount. Then you will see an error or it asking you to format it. Format it.
NOW reboot into CWM and you will see /emmc is mounted and in fact you can do a backup to internal sdcard.
As for backing up to external sdcard (not sd-ext) that should work as Yash already said.
Please try what I am saying and if that does not work then provide me the info in the post above.

OK guys never mind all that crap. I beleive I have fixed all the issues.
I will be delivering a new CWM where after first boot /emmc will be formatted and mounted.
Stay tuned.

New CWM touch - should fix issues
OK here is a new recovery. Same kit as last time just flash it as before.
What this should fix is after flashing a ROM and erasing IDB, /emmc (internal sdcard) should now be mounted OK. So that should be fixed. Everything else should work.
Also again just to make sure you guys understand sd-ext is NOT the external sdcard. It is a special EXT4 partition that can be made on the sdcard to support link2sd APP and Titanium backup. So you will NEVER be able to mount sd-ext and will always see that sd-ext error when doing backups. THIS IS NORMAL! But if you do partition the SDcard using CWM advanced menu. Then it will now find and support sd-ext. I hope that is clear.
Now let me explain how to fix your current setup if you DO NOT plan to flash a full ROM and erase IDB.
1) Before you flash this make sure NAND is formatted. With your tablet booted to the OS, go into settings, storage and mount NAND. Format it.
2) No you can flash this new recovery.
Here it is:
http://video.freaktab.com/?subpath=f...y_touch_v2.zip
Please test and if all is OK I will update the full ROM kit with this.

Testing now. I'm sure many didn't confuse sd-ext with SD! Anyway, I didn't know /emmc was internal SD.
Will I have to erase IDB again in order to use the functionality of this updated recovery?
Thanks!
EDIT: As impatient as I am. It is working Bob!!! You are the man
EDIT 2: Because it is unable to understand that SD = /emmc, it is not able to backup .android_secure.. will this cause problems?

So what you need to test if you have this bug is this.
Test 1,
Install a bunch of apps with an external sdcard installed in the tablet. Power down and remove sdcard. Power up and see if any apps are now missing! If they are then the system is in fact installing apps to sd by default. We need to know this. Now using a root file explorer go to external sdcard and see if .android_secure exists! Also look in internal sdcard. If it does not exist and APPs are getting installed to sd, you have the bug!
Now the CWM test. If .android_secure now exists after installing apps, do a CWM backup. Then do a CWM restore. You should have no missing apps and you should have also not gotten the error about ,android_secure not found.

However if your getting an error no found .android_secure it is because your implementation of ICS from the manufacturer may not be using it anymore. If that is the case all APPs installed should be going to internel memory by default. The folder is created by Android when apps are installed on SD. If the folder doesnt exist then your ICS version is not creating it. BUT it may also not exist right now because you have not installed a bunch of APPs yet? Initially it does not exist until the installer installs an APP to sdcard. So CWM will give you that error until that folder is created. Also understand some implementations of ICS have a bug in this area! I cannot do anything with CWM to fix this as it is not a CWM problem.
So what you need to test if you have this bug is this.

I will report back tomorrow, it's 00:43 here :/
Thank you Bob, have a happy Sunday.

Finless,
I have installed recovery touch 2 with CWM. When I go to make a backup selecting any backup i.e.
TouchRecovery Backup GUI:
Backup............................................ ...........///29768mb (external sdcard) results see Test1 below.
restore
advanced restore
backup to internal sdcard.........................///10018mb (internal sdcard) results see Test2 below
restore from internal sdcard
advanced restore from internal sdcard
Test1
backing up boot,recovery,system,data...
no /sdcard/.android_secure found skipping...
backing up cache
no sd-ext found skipping..
generating md5 sum
backup complete
Test2
backing up boot,recovery,system,data...
no /sdcard/.android_secure found skipping...
backing up cache
no sd-ext found skipping..
generating md5 sum
backup complete
.android_secure is on internal sdcard, it is not on external sdcard. I checked to see if .android_secure was there before adding any apps after installing CWM, which it was not as expected. I have attached vold.fstab which shows the sdcards figuration.Attached FilesClive
