I have the square m8 with 1 gb ram and no bluetooth from bluetimes and i can't boot into recovery, therefore i can't install another rom. I' ve tried everything. Any help please?

I know there only exist OTG via a jumper patch but there also exist adb via wifi:
I also know that a adb bin sometimes exist at the android, so you can also try this command at terminal at the device (maybe also without 'adb')...??? (never tried it)Code:adb reboot recovery

Isn't it possible to boot the recovery.img via sd card?
Maybe you should use one of the updates which contains a recovery.img and delete all other not need stuff (e.g. img/zip) at it...RK3288 Devices

No, sorry, but I think I often read about problems by flashing new rom via SD because of missing the recovery.img at that SD, so I thought, maybe it is possible to use one of these updates with an recovery.img at the SD BUT without the update-files (e.g in img/zip format)...
But I think you also need this script file ('xyz.aml' or something like this (I forget the name))...
And the idea/hope is, that the flashing process will crash because of missing content but will use the recovery.img at the SD so you are at that moment at the recovery... BUT only an idea???
I don't think that a "boot" SD will help, especially you need a fitting uboot which I think is missing for this device ???RK3288 Devices

I had same problem. Get a recovery.img from any M8 rom, then put it in your Sd and put also the rom which works on your box. The sd card should be empty before putting the files in.Comment

after dicking around for weeks Luke I had a blue light blank screen nothing on i tried this out worked first time thanks thanks thanks i have my m8 back. Just popped the recovery in it said reboot did nothing and the original rom came up thanks a millionComment

Also have same problem with this box , pressing pin does not enter recovery mode , only loads to a screen asking for PIN number , box is my dads who is disabled and he says he never set up a pin , any links to the proper files i.e the rom and recovery file would be appreciated as I'm a new member and have been struggling to navigate the site properly yet ThanksComment
