Can someone tell me why it keeps say calibration fail try again i've done it ten times no go

Are you using stock rom?
If not, what rom are you using?
Is this a "first run" calibration going wrong?
If not, was anything installed prior to the error?
Out of curiosity, would there be a file named "ts-calibration"
on the root of your sdcard? Just trying to get an idea...

I'm using finless rom 1.2. Yes this the first time calibration has gone wrong. I was reading my email when it frozeup. I dont see a file named ts-calibration on my sd cardComment

nextbook 7s resistive screen cant calibrate
I dont see system/build.prop file on my sd card and when i plug the tablet up to the usb i cant get it to let me in it does nothing but stay on the calibration screen i cant even turn it off i can put it to sleep thats itComment

ok.
Two things.
Try to reset the tab: in the back there should be a reset cavity
that you can reset with a paper clip. Turn it back on. Anything?
The other thing is: Does this tab come with a stylus?
If so are you using the stylus to calibrate? You should.

ok i reset it and i have restarted it back to the recalibration screen no go i'm using a stylusComment

Work with me here.
If the screen is locked and you then unlock.
The calibration screen reappears?without knowing whats really
going on i was thinking a factory reset. I have read that pluging a usb mouse
to the devices helps touch screen calibration app to close. But i dont know.
If you try this and it works. Do a factory reset.
The only other option would be to reflash Finless' rom.
But that wont resolve anything if it happens again.
Sorry, but without knowing what is going on through adb,
I guess you can say I am blind.

Edit: for future reference, and anyone else that may have the problem, I suspect
the issue "may" lie in: /system/usr/idc/(whatever-the-name-would-be).idc
Just an un-educated guess..

Thanks for the help. But i have tried all of that and nothing is happening i'm going to get in touch with nextbook and see what they say. I have had this tablet for about two month never had this problem before.
i did a factory reset and i reflashed finless rom when i did i could see the home for a min then it went right back to the recalibration screenComment

Ok I got the calibration to work
I talk to tech at nextbook and he told me to tap a quarter of an inch beneath each target. The calibration is way off on this thing i had to press in the middle of the screen for the top two and in the middle at the very bottom for the last two. I was able to get in to the sd card and these all the files i see. andriod_secure alarms DCIM download getjar lost.dir movies music notifications pictures podcast and ringtone thats itComment

Glad you were able to resolve that.
You could try typing in a terminal " su" and enter, then "dmesg | tail" and enter (without quotes) to see
if it gives you an idea as to what is going on.
By the way somewhere in these forums I read about someone
having the same tab as you with the calibration issue as well.
Turned out it was that there is another model and he flashed thewrong
rom. If I findthe link I will add it to the end of this post. Something to
Look into if the problem returns.
